They help define terrain areas clearly without covering the design of your mat or getting in the way when moving miniatures.This pack includes:
Terrain Footprints:
- 4 × large rectangles (7” × 11.5”)
- 2 × large right-angle triangles (8” × 11.5”)
- 4 × medium rectangles (6” × 4”)
- 2 × long narrow rectangles (10” × 2.5”)
- 4 × short narrow rectangles (6” × 2”)
Each piece is supplied with protective film on both sides and is not pre-painted.
This gives you two easy ways to use them depending on the look you want for your table:
Leave the border covered and peel only the inner area to create a more visible frosted outline, making the footprint easier to see during play.
Remove all the protective film for a fully transparent finish, then paint the border yourself if you want it to match the style or colours of your gaming mat.
This makes the set flexible both for competitive play, where visibility matters, and for more thematic tables where you may want a subtler or custom finish.
These footprints have been designed based on the preview images shared by Games Workshop. As the final rulebook has not yet been released, we cannot guarantee that the final shapes, sizes or layouts will exactly match the official version once published.

Ich bin ehrlich gesagt zutiefst verstört für was heutzutage alles geld verlangt wird!
Ich verstehe auch den Sinn dahinter nicht! Da leg ich mir lieber schön bedruckte Neopren matten hin als 2d Gelände als solche komischen Umrisse.
Ich denke mal die sind gedacht um zwar den spielmechanischen Umriss eines Geländes zu markieren, aber ansonsten diskret zu sein.
Also, schon so dass man da noch Kram/Ruinen usw. draufstellt, nicht dass es komplett blank bleibt.
Und ich denke das kann man machen, auch wenn Geschmäcker natürlich unterschiedlich sind.
Und oben drauf um möglichst turniergeeignet zu sein. Man kann das Gelände oben drauf stellen bis Minis drin sind und dann ohne den Untergrund zu verdecken Cover und Objectives darstellen.
Der sinn dahinter ist das mit den neuen 40k Regeln eben Umrisse fürs Gelände auf die Matte zeichnen einfacher ist als etwas dickes drauf legen auch weil das weniger leicht verrutscht.
Damit ist das vor allem für Veranstalter eine Option.
Das andere ist halt das alte Neopren Schablonen die falschen Maße haben fürs neue 40k, womit man so oder so neu kaufen muss.
Gut, ich habe auch niemanden verstanden der damals seine Matte zerschnitten hat weil GW die minimale Größe reduziert hat, dementsprechend muss ich nicht verstehen warum sich solche Produkte verkaufen werden, aber das Zielpublikum ist auf jeden Fall da.
Bedruckte Neoprenmatten als 2D Gelände sehen aber maximal kacke aus…
Lieber eine durchsichtige Scheibe auf den Grund und ein Gebäude drauf. Wenn ich kein 3D will, brauche ich auch keine Mini sondern spiele mit Chips oder Tokens.
Es macht mich traurig so was zu sehen.
Dann kann man auch einfach wieder zurück zum Brettspiel gehen

Nur weil es dir nicht passt ist es kein Schwachsinniger Kommentar.
Wenn man 2D Gelände will kann man auf einem Brettspielen dann braucht man kein Tabletop mehr.
Gelände, besonders welches das wichtig für das Spiel ist und vernünftig in die Regeln eingebettet ist, macht viel vom Tabletop Charme aus.
Reduziert man das auf 2D Schablonen ist das Traurig.
Na ja, vom Tonfall her ist deiner auf jeden Fall erste Sahne.
Auf die 2D Schablone kommt doch das eigentliche Gelände…

0.5 mm flexible transparent Plastic halte ich jetzt auch nicht für Tragfähig genug um eine Geländebase zu sein
Inwiefern muss das tragfähig sein? Da ist dich immernoch der Tisch drunter.
Verstehe die Schablonen so das man da seine 40k Mauern/ Ruinen raufstellt und das wars. Die müssen doch nichts aushalten.
