Firefight: Tribes-Roadmap

Mantic Games haben eine Roadmap zu Firefight vorgestellt.

Warpath Universe Roadmap & Firefight Tribe Launch

In today’s blog, we’ll give you a sneak peek at what’s in the pipeline this year for the Warpath Universe, and then take a closer look at the new Firefight Tribe which has just launched on MyMiniFactory. Let’s dive in!

What’s Coming Up This Year for the Warpath Universe?

The short answer is, a lot! Take a look at the roadmap below – because 2026 is shaping up to be a big year for the Warpath Universe.

Firefight Tribes Roadmap 2

From now through to the summer, the focus is on going digital, with a wide range of Mantic’s sci-fi miniatures arriving on the Mantic Vault, Digital Store and the new Firefight Tribe on MyMiniFactory – more on that in a moment.

In Q3, things are set to escalate. A major expansion book will deliver updates across three game systems – Deadzone, Firefight and Epic Warpath – alongside a global campaign that will shape the fate of the Warpath Universe. At the same time, Waves 2 and 3 of the Epic Warpath STL releases will roll out, with Wave 2 completing the line-up of existing factions, and Wave 3 introducing new units to the game.

Then, in Q4, the heavy hitters arrive. The Nameless will be making their long-awaited Firefight debut with brand new hard plastic miniatures that will also be useable in Deadzone, while Firefight will be expanding even further with some BIG new units built for the vehicle-focused Annihilation game mode.

We’ll be sharing plenty more information about the Q3 and Q4 releases in the coming months. For today, let’s turn our attention to the Firefight Tribe, which is live right now.

A New Digital Route Into Firefight

Following the successful launch of our MyMiniFactory Tribe for The Walking Dead back in March, we’re very happy to announce that our new MyMiniFactory Tribe for is now live  – offering 3D-printing hobbyists an easy, accessible and cost-effective new way to get up and running with one of Mantic’s most popular and well-regarded game systems – which won an OnTabletop Industry Award for Best Miniatures Game in 2022.

Firefight Tribes Roadmap 3

To celebrate the launch, we’re making the Firefight and Deadzone full rules and list builders available for FREE on the Mantic Companion for the whole month of May, giving you an easy way to see what both of those sci-fi game systems are all about.

What’s a MyMiniFactory Tribe?

A Tribe is a monthly paid subscription for digital miniatures, handled through MyMiniFactory. Each month, you receive a set of 3D-printable models (STL files) that you can print at home or via a printing service, giving you a regular supply of new miniatures to use in your games.

What’s Included in the Firefight Tribe?

The Firefight Tribe will provide a monthly package of Mantic’s sci-fi miniatures as STL files – making it an ideal way to get started with Firefight if you own or have access to a 3D printer.

The Tribe will have two tiers: Recruit and Commander.

The Recruit Tier is a great entry point and will offer a solid, foundational mix of units, with an emphasis on infantry. The more deluxe Commander Tier will include everything that’s in the Recruit Tier, but with some extra goodies on top – think walkers, vehicles and the like. Whereas the Recruit Tier will usually focus on one faction in any given month, the Commander Tier may well mix things up and include units from more than one faction. As an example, you can see the contents of the first month for each tier below – the Commander Tier adds the Enforcer Strider and Marauder Stuntbot to what’s in the Recruit Tier:

Everyone who joins the Tribe, regardless of which tier, also receives a Welcome Pack at no extra cost, containing a base set of Enforcer miniatures and the STLs to print the Firefight Command Dice. Having these Enforcers in the Welcome Pack means that, regardless of when you join the Tribe, you’ll always have an „opposing force“ to pit your other armies against – perfect for sharing with a friend and growing your Firefight gaming group!

What’s the Plan for the Firefight Tribe?

The Tribe will begin by covering the Enforcer and Marauder factions, and will move on to cover the Plague and Forge Father factions this summer. But it won’t end there! It will continue into next year, covering more factions – and even adding some new and exciting units to the game, including the aforementioned massive vehicles for Annihilation mode.

I’m a Mantic Vault Subscriber – What About Me?

If you’re an existing Mantic Vault subscriber, we certainly don’t want you to miss out on any of the exciting digital content that will be coming to the Firefight Tribe.

None of the content in the Tribe will be Tribe-exclusive – meaning that all miniatures offered via the Tribe will also be available via Mantic Digital at some time and in some form. Most of the files will be included in monthly Vault packs (or have already been in the Vault in the past), and some of the files will be available to purchase separately via the Mantic Digital store – for example, many of the vehicle units included in the Commander Tier will be offered this way.

The May pack for the Mantic Vault has already kicked things off – as you can see below, a large portion of what’s in the Recruit Tier for May is also included in the May Vault pack, while the Marauder Skyscrapers, Marauder Stuntbot and Enforcer Strider are all available to purchase as STLs via the Mantic Digital Store. And don’t forget that, as a Vault subscriber, you get a 20% discount on all products in the Digital Store.

We’re also updating the Vault Welcome Pack to include the content in the Firefight Tribe Welcome Pack, as shown in the image below:

What’s more, we’ve recently added a new 3-year reward for Vault subscribers – the awesome Rippermech, which made its debut in Epic Warpath and is now stomping its way over to Firefight. The beta rules for it are live on the Mantic Companion.

What if I Don’t Own or Have Access to a 3D Printer?

No worries! The vast majority of the miniatures that are included in the Firefight Tribe are miniatures that we already sell as physical products – so if you’re keen to try Firefight, and you’re not into 3D printing, there’s nothing to hold you back. You can check out the extensive Firefight range on the Mantic webstore right now.

The only exceptions are the new units that we’re planning to add to the game via the Tribe later on – but rest assured, we are looking into ways of offering these units physically too. Stay tuned for more info on that at a later date.

Wait – What’s Firefight?

We’re glad you asked! Firefight is Mantic’s platoon-level sci-fi wargame, set in the Warpath Universe. It’s known for its fast-paced gameplay, intuitive rules and dynamic orders mechanic. It features a diverse range of factions, each with its own distinctive identity and playstyle, and is supported by a large and growing range of miniatures.
