Premium Plastic Injection
The Stone Trolls Regiment is produced using high-pressure plastic injection with precision steel molds, ensuring exceptional consistency, sharp detail reproduction, and long-term durability.
Unlike traditional sprue-based kits, these miniatures are manufactured as individual components. This production approach has been deliberately chosen to preserve the integrity of the original sculpts, safeguarding fine details, and complex undercuts that would be impossible to achieve within standard sprue limitations. We have chosen this production method with the primary goal of making the miniatures as identical as possible to the original 3D-designed and sculpted models.

So süß!
Au ha! Die sehen ja mal richtig gut aus und dann auch noch aus Plastik! Ist natürlich wieder Dienstahlt geistigen Eigentums und deshalb finde ich es so lala gut, aber reitzen tun die mich schon.
Naja, Felix hat „Avatars of War“ schon vor 20 Jahren gegründet und hatte davor auch bei GW gearbeitet. Ich meine sogar etliche der GW-Orks&Goblins sind eigentlich „seine“ Modelle..😏 Außerdem hat GW ja diesen oldschool-Charme schon lange aufgegeben/nix neues mehr produziert. Von daher schließt er da ne echte GW-LÜcke. 😁😉
Ich finde die Trolle jedenfalls richtig knuffig und auch extrem hübsch bemalt. 🤗🤩(Ich hab sie aber schon als stl von seinem Patreon..)
Selbst wenn er der Designer der alten GW Sculpts ist, liegen die Rechte dann dennoch bei GW. Und die sehen halt total nach den aktuellen AoS Troggoth aus. Selbst die Posen sind nachgemacht, da wird keine Lücke geschlossen, da wird halt abgekupfert, oder zumindest schamlos eine Ähnlichkeit provoziert.
Ok,mit den Rechten mag stimmen. Dann kopiert er aber schon seit 20 Jahren GW ohne dass sie was gegen tun… 🤔
Aber optisch find ich zu den „Troggoths“ keine große Ähnlichkeit (v.a. Kopf und Arme) – und ich mag sie auch irgendwie nicht. Ist aber nur mein persönlicher Geschmack… 😏
Die Reservierung eines bestimmten Typs von Design dürfte kaum möglich sein. Auch die Begriffe Troll oder Steintroll wird man sich kaum schützen lassen können.
Von Diebstahl kann also nicht die Rede sein.
Sollte es da Möglichkeiten geben hätte GW die längst genutzt.

Wichtige Info: Das ist kein „Plastik“ sondern PVC!

Das hat zwar seit den letzten PVC-Kits von Avatars Fortschritte gemacht, aber es ist kein Hartplastik.

Klar ist das Plastik. Polyvinylchlorid ist eine Kunststoffart und damit „Plastik“. Plastik ist der umgangssprachliche Gattungsbegriff für alle Polymere.
PVC ist einfach nur ein anderes Plastic als PS.
Es spricht auch gar nichts gegen Minis aus PVC. Tatsächlich hat das sogar Vorteile. Es ist zB viel weniger spröde und deshalb bricht weniger leicht was ab.
Deswegen hat Christian denk ich mal Plastik in „“ gesetzt.
Der Durchschnittskunde denkt bei Plastik halt an GW-Plastik, also PS welches man mit Plastikkleber kleben kann.
Bei PVC muss man halt mit Sekundenkleber herumhampeln.

Nicht zwingend, es gibt auch PVC-Kleber. 😛
Abgesehen davon hat doch eh jeder TT-ler Sekundenkleber und bei der Verarbeitung macht es wenig Unterschied. Tatsächlich arbeite ich viel lieber mit Sekundenkleber. Der bindet schneller ab und die Cayanoacrylate stinken nicht so wie das lösungsmittel-basierte Zeug.
Grade für Minis zum spielen finde ich PVC oder Kunststoffe mit ähnlichen Eigenschaften besser als das harte, spröde Zeug. Dadurch das die leicht flexibel sind, sind die Minis einfach „stabiler“.
Wie so vieles ist das aber eine Geschmacksfrage denke ich.
P.S.: Die Aussage „Das ist kein „Plastik“ sondern PVC!“ hat einfach meinen inneren Monk getriggert. Das mußte raus. Was am besten mit etwas Klugscheissen geht.
So unterschiedlich sind die Geschmäcker, mit Sekundenkleber kannst du mich jagen. Klebt bei mir häufiger Dinge zusammen, die ich gar nicht verkleben wollte. 😉
Das gute, alte GW Troll Design. Beim originalen Hersteller gibt es das schon lange nicht mehr und das hier ist eine deutlich vom Original inspirierte, aber doch sehr gut gelungenen Evolution. Ich finde die richtig klasse. Aber ich bin auch kein O&G Fan, daher passe ich hier.
Viele Trolldarstellungen z.B. in skandinavischen Kinderbüchern lange vor GW sahen auch nicht viel anders aus. Das einzig GW mäßige ist hier die blaue Bemalung. Ich denke nicht, dass es fair ist diese Minis als GW-Kopien zu sehen. Besonders innovativ sind sie auch nicht. Die Pose mit dem Buch aber cool. Aber sie sind sehr stimmigungsvoll.

So wahr. Es ist mittlerweile echt bitter, das die Vergangenheit so verschütt gegangen ist. Als die alten Steintrille rauskamen, waren sie „inspiriert“ von bestimmten alten Sagen und modernen Fanrasycomics. Heute heißt es dann, „das Design von GW“ 🤪
Mit Wonne erinnere ich mich zurück an die Zeit, als bei der Mailorder noch Trolle arbeiteten. 😀
