Thalassa: Update aus dem Team

Daniel Caballero, einer der Macher hinter Thalassa, hat sich nach dem Streit im Team zu Wort gemeldet und ein eigenes neues Spiel angekündigt.

R17 Thalassa Cover

Dear members of the community, I am reaching out to provide an update regarding my current projects.

After careful consideration, I have decided to permanently end my involvement with Thalassa; this decision stems from my strict commitment to respecting intellectual property, and as such, I will not continue working with a rulebook that is not my own.

Conversely, I wish to emphasize that both the model designs and the published images remain my exclusive property and are duly registered. In this regard, I am pleased to inform you that I am finalizing my own set of rules, featuring completely independent mechanics that will offer a distinct and personal gaming experience. This new rule set will be accompanied by the launch of new scale models—including the Lembos, the Greek bireme, and a Persian line consisting of a bireme, trireme, and great trireme—which will be available exclusively in physical format for security reasons and to ensure copyright protection.

Currently, the project is 90% complete, and its official release will take place as soon as the relevant legal registration processes are finalized to ensure the integrity of the work. I believe it is a priority that legal matters do not interfere with the community’s harmony; therefore, there is absolutely no issue with you continuing to enjoy Thalassa or sharing your photographs in this space.

After five years of dedication, I am deeply proud of the work accomplished and encourage you to continue expanding your experience with my models or rule sets according to your preference. Ultimately, I began this long journey with the fundamental purpose of sharing a personal vision and enjoying the hobby alongside a community such as this, always prioritizing the passion for the game above strictly economic interests.
