Dystopian Wars: Oktober Release und neue Starterbox
Warcradle Studios haben im Rahmen der Oktober-Releases für Dystopian Wars ein neues Starterset vorgestellt.
Die Fortune and Glory Box beinhaltet zwei Freibeuter-Schwadrone, eines für die Union und eines für das Sultanat.
The Great Powers vie for control of the world’s trade routes, unleashing mercenary forces to disrupt shipping and sow chaos and confusion to destabilise their rivals. Two of the most notable of these privateers are The Crimson League and The Honorable Eclipse Company.
Die Honorable Eclipse Company der Union kann folgende Einheiten stellen.
The Honorable Eclipse Company have secured lucrative escort contracts with significant clients around the globe. The HEC offer security and defence solutions to those who cannot apply direct political or military action in safeguarding their investments.
The HEC have had major investment from the Union of Federated States and often that Great Power has used the Company when the deployment or involvement of a Union battlefleet may be politically unwise. Though some might call the involvement of the HEC an unwelcome influence by the Union in global affairs, in truth, many commanders have found that their need for support in a theatre of engagement can only be solved by hiring the Honorable Eclipse Company.
Die Crimson League des Sultanats besteht aus
The Crimson League is led by Princess Scheherazade. Escaping the traditions of her royal family, she joined the Covenant of the Enlightened only to leave when the Egalitarian and Custodians schism came to the fore.
Now, she operates following her own unknowable plan. Angry at the power of the Order within the Sultanate, she lashes out, taking contracts that appear to have nothing to do with the religious zealots, only for some to realise later that there was design all along.

Also gibt es nunmehr die dritte großer Starterbox fürs neue Dystopian Wars, also der inoffiziellen Version 3.0. Und nach Sturginium Skies ist es wieder eine Box, die sich primär auf Lufteinheiten konzentriert. Und diesmal sind auch alle Modelle in der Box neu. Mal meine Einzelmeinung zu den Fraktionen:
Union:
Hier gibt es einen neuen Gussrahmen für das Luftschiff der Amerikaner, bzw. 5e davon. Und man wird dabei zwei Modelle miteinander verbinden können, um das Masse 3 Flaggschiff bauen zu können. Mir gefallen diese Zeppeline sehr gut, auch wenn ich meine, dass das dicke Luft-Schlachtschiff des Amerikaner aus der Spartan Ära immer noch besser aussieht – mit den zwei kleineren Zeppelinen links und rechts neben der Haupt-Gashülle.
Sultanat:
Das Lyceum Flugschiff sieht merkwürdig aus, aber es ist stimmig zum Hintergrund, nachdem es mit Hilfe von Technologie der Enlightened, also des Covenant gebaut wurde. Deswegen passt es aber optisch nur bedingt in die Fraktion. Die kleineren Flugschiffe gefallen mit aber alle – vor allem die kleine Fregatte mit dem Segel.
Zivilisten:
Und wieder eine Steampunk-Titanic. Finde ich richtig gut und ist für mich fast schon das Highlight der Box. Und man kann das Schiff auch noch in einer Flugversion bauen – ein Traum.
Also ein toller Release.
Leider stockt der Nachschub von Dystopian Wars Produkten nach Festlandeuropa aktuell gewaltig. Ich habe jedenfalls beim einzigen großen Importeur in Deutschland – fantasywelt – aktuell einen ordentlichen Rückstand an Bestellungen – und ich sehe nicht ein, zum Vollpreis beim Hersteller Wayland in UK zu bestellen, inklusive Steuern und Import….
Da „muss“ Ich dann wohl zuschlagen. Ich habe doch gerade erst eine Union Flotte angefangen. 🙂
Finde ich gut, dass das System scheinbar läuft und die Miniaturen gut ankommen.
Ich habe leider noch nicht so gefallen gefunden.
Hat aber beim alten Dystopian wars auch bis zu den Franzosen gedauert , bis ich meine Fraktion gefunden hatte.
Werde also meine Augen auf halten.

Damals hatte ich Franzosen und Siemens je ein Spiel gespielt zu haben wieder verkauft.
Aber die Sultanatsflotte gefällt mir so gut… mal sehen. Eventuell klappt das ja doch und ich kriege meine Frau dazu.
