The Rogal Dorn Battle Tank Crushes Heretics With the Power of the Praetorian
The new Rogal Dorn Battle Tank is a behemoth of a vehicle, perfectly suited for smashing enemy positions and anchoring defensive lines. Its heavy armour gives it durability worthy of the Praetorian’s name, while its powerful engines ensure it doesn’t fall behind squadrons of Leman Russ Battle Tanks.
Its turret mounts either two full-size battle cannons, or an enormous oppressor cannon. The latter in particular is a devastating anti-armour powerhouse, capable of knocking out almost anything up to a Chaos Knight in a single salvo – and it’s still got room for a cheeky co-axial autocannon to the side.
The firepower doesn’t stop there – the Rogal Dorn mounts a deadly castigator gatling cannon on the hull, perfect for scything down infantry. Or you can be trade that out for a pulveriser cannon – the demolisher cannon’s only-slightly smaller brother.
The tank can be further augmented with a pair of heavy stubbers or meltaguns, and in classic Astra Militarum fashion, you can also strap a pair of heavy bolter or multi-melta sponsons on the side. There’s even a pintle-mounted heavy stubber for any gunner brave enough to clamber up top.
The kit also comes with tons of detail parts, so you can add tool stowage, track links, and other bits and bobs all over the chassis.
The Rogal Dorn Battle Tank will be rolling off the assembly lines before long, but there’s still time for one last model reveal next week.
Chameleon Skinks Hunt Jade-Masked Tzeentch Cultists in the New Warcry Box: Sundered Fate
Sundered Fate is the next boxed set for Warcry, taking us further into the heart of the Gnarlwood. It introduces updated terrain features, new campaigns, and two all-new warbands – the scaled Hunters of Huanchi, and the iconoclastic cultists of the Jade Obelisk.
The power emanating from the Ravening Ruin is so rich and intoxicating, more and more warbands are breaching the borders that the Seraphon have drawn around the Eye of Chotec. The Hunters of Huanchi – a stealthy band of Chameleon Skink guardians – don’t like that one bit.
The cunning Chameleon Skinks who protect the downed void-ship are cold-blooded in their tenacity, confounding their prey with poisoned blowpipes and masterful guerilla tactics. The armour-clad warriors known as Huanchi’s Claws call on their enchanted helms to terrify trespassers with mighty roars, while flocks of trained Terrawings harry their foes from above.
The latest invaders are a terrifying cult known as the Jade Obelisk. Hailing from the accursed city of Nephricar, these warriors have struck a doomed pact with an eldritch entity known as the Speaker in the Stone, gaining great resilience and power – at the low, low cost of their bodies slowly turning to stone.
Led by the Nephrite Priestess who feeds their self-made altars with bloody sacrifice, the Jade Obelisk are also joined by an Obelisk Bearer – a hunched figure carrying a chunk of the colossal jade monument that first birthed the birdlike Speaker.
The cult’s purpose is to pulverise the monuments (and faces) of all who oppose them with hammers and warpicks – and the surviving edifices of the Eye of Chotec are next on the list. Once they’re done with their victims, they cut out their still-beating hearts to satisfy the hunger of their daemonic Idolarc companions.
This particular knot of Gnarlwood is represented by even more fleshy Gnarloaks, plus a scattering of palisades and ruins. New to the box are bamboo platforms for your cheeky Chameleon Skinks to skulk about from on high, plus a comfy Hollow Refuge – which gives a glimpse of how warbands might survive in such a hostile environment.
These nasty meat trees and horrible hovels give you plenty of ways to set up your battlefield straight out of the box, and mix and match with existing Gnarlwood terrain to expand your options further. Warband Tome: Stealth and Stone contains all the lore, special rules, missions, and campaign material you need to play – while the core rules are free to download here.
