Mayan Pyramid Kickstarter
Dieser Kickstarter dient der Finanzierung einer Pyramide im Maya-Stil in 28mm – für historische oder phantastische Spiele.
This project offers a 28mm Meso-American pyramid suitable for tribal, lizardmen, pulp adventures, pirate, conquistador, Cthulhu and Frostgrave gaming and many other genres. Its design is inspired by classic Maya culture but is suitable for other meso-American tribes. With its modular design and add-ons you can use this piece in many different ways.
If you’re new to this period there’s even some options on some great miniatures.
The Pyramid
The base piece for the project, a resin clad MDF shell measuring 256x310x110mm (10.07×12.2×4.33″). This allows an easy-build kit to be shipped as a flat pack and saves on your shipping costs.
Each vertical wall on all sides is decorated with authentic glyphs which come in large sections and the staircase is a single piece, so no tricky build. With over 170 glyphs total this is the most historically authentic 28mm stepped pyramid available. Reward cost £60.
It’s sturdily made to survive even the harshest gaming experiences. This kit weighs just under 2kgs (4.4lbs) and we’ve tested how tough it is, including the shell, so no inherent weaknesses and definitely no sagging.
The Temple
The temple building is decorated with over 64 glyphs and sculptures, has a removable roof and measures 124x76x130mm (4.88×2.99×5.11″). It’s cast in solid resin. Reward cost £20.
The rear interior wall has a recess. Into which you can set a sculpture of a Mayan King… …or a Lizard King. Both are supplied with this reward. Or you can add your own. The temple sits comfortably atop the pyramid, making the whole thing 240mm (9.44″) tall.
The Add-Ons:
The calendar top floor is interchangable with the regular top floor measuring the same 131x131x5mm (5.15×5.15×0.19″) and adding even more possible variety. Reward cost £10.
Perfect for a well-timed blood sacrifice.

Hmmm. Für mich sieht das wie ein quietschbunter Kuchen für einen Kindergeburtstag aus. Muss ich nicht haben.
Wie bunt das wird, ist ja jedem selbst überlassen 😉
Wie sollte eine Maya Pyramide denn Deiner Meinung nach aussehen?
Tatsächlich ist da wohl näher am Original, als die meisten anderen Bemalungen, die man häufig sieht – natürlich könnte man auch eine verwitterte Version für Pulp Spiele oder eine „korrumpierte“ Version für einen Altar der Großen Alten gestalten.
OT: … die Vorstellung der griechischen Antike als Weißes-Marmor-Paradies ist wohl auch grundsätzlich falsch – Friese, Statuen, Säulen und Fassaden waren da wohl ähnlich bunt, wie der Maya Tempel hier 🙂 Das gilt als recht gesichert… https://artinwords.de/bunte-goetter/ hat sich was mit „… erhabener Schlichtheit“ – wie sagte schon Walter Gropius: „Bunt ist meine Lieblingsfarbe“

@BK-HK: hast Du auch den im Hobby so beliebten archäologischen Hintergrund?
@ Jarrek: Geschichte ja – Archäologie nein 🙂 allerdings spiele ich nie historische TTs… aber es schadet nicht ein fundiertes Hintergrundwissen zu haben um es dann zu verfremden.
Sehe ich ähnlich, und deswegen haben mir die älteren Editionen von Warhammer bzw. Jetzt 15mm auch immer am meisten Spaß gemacht.
Interessanter Ansatz – MDF mit Resin überzogen…gabs das schonmal? Hört sich erstmal interessant an, mal abgesehen, von dem Maya-Setting, was mich nicht so anspricht.
