Warmachine: Frontier, Stormcraw, Grimtusk & Thunderhead
Steamforged Games präsentieren Neuigkeiten zum Frontier, Stormcraw, Grimtusk, Thunderhead und Hog Wild.
Warmachine: Lightning, livestreams, and legendary returns
There’s a lot happening in the Iron Kingdoms this week.
Thunderhead is charging onto shelves, the Thornfall Alliance is kicking open the barn doors, and three whole armies are getting ready to land on build plates with the FronTier launch. On top of that, we’re back with another hobby livestream, a brand-new warlock spotlight, and fresh Lock & Load news on the way.
So whether you’re planning your next list, warming up your 3D printer, or just looking for an excuse to sit down at the hobby desk, the week ahead has plenty to keep you busy.
Today’s TL;DR
Warmachine FronTier launches — Classic armies return to the battlefield
Lock & Load calls — Event bookings open March 13
Brushes ready — Father Lucant paint-along livestream
Leading the charge — Stormcraw steps into the spotlight
Grimtusk’s road to the Kithguard — Loremachine
Thunderhead deploys — Lightning strikes March 12
Hog wild — Thornfall reinforcements charge into the store
Launch the FronTier
We’re sure you are as excited as we are. The FronTier launches on the 17th!
That means the Grymkin, Infernals, and Convergence of Cyriss will soon be available to pre-purchase ahead of their full release later this month. If you’ve been waiting to add one of these classic armies to your collection, this is your chance to get in early.
Early supporters will also be able to grab the armies at a special discounted price before they arrive in the Warmachine 3D store.
If you’ve missed some of the previews or you’re still deciding which faction to back (or make it easy for yourself and get all three), now’s a great time to catch up. Explore the lore and rules for each army, then follow Lost, Damned, & Salvation over on MyMiniFactory. You’ll get your free STL and be notified when all of the armies are ready to print, build, and take straight to the tabletop.
Lock & Load is calling
If you’re planning to attend Lock & Load EU, you may have already caught the preview of the event timetable, giving you a first look at everything happening across the weekend. Good timing, because event bookings opens on March 13.
From tournaments and hobby sessions to community meetups and plenty of chances to roll dice with fellow Warmachine players, the weekend is shaping up to be packed.
If you’re heading along, now’s a great time to start planning your schedule.
Father Lucant painting livestream
If you’re looking for an excuse to get some painting done, then we’ve got you covered.
On March 12, we’ll be hosting a special livestream paint-along featuring Father Lucant, the Divinity Architect. Sherwin Matthews will be guiding the session, sharing painting tips and hobby advice while we work through one of the Convergence of Cyriss’ most iconic warcasters.
Whether you’re painting along with us or just watching for inspiration, it’s the perfect excuse to crack open the paints and spend an evening at the hobby desk.
Leading the charge — Stormcraw spotlight
Stormcraw leads from the front and brings a very direct approach to dealing with anyone threatening Kithguard territory. In the upcoming spotlight article, Fraser from the Warmachine development team breaks down how this Kithguard warlock operates on the battlefield and how the new auxiliary reinforcements support him.
If you’re curious about what Stormcraw brings to the table, keep an eye out for the full breakdown later this week and Stormcraw’s lore drop on Loremachine Monday.
Grimtusk’s road to Kithguard — Loremachine
A midweek treat arrives with a special Loremachine feature for Tarja Grimtusk. From the dangerous streets of Ord to the jungles of Alchiere, Tarja’s journey is an unlikely transformation. Discover her full Heroes & Villains story in the Warmachine app and learn how a reluctant warlock became one of the Kithguard’s most determined leaders.
Thunderhead is fully charged
has finished charging — it’s time to unleash the gathering storm on the Steamforged store.
For Cygnar players, this warjack hardly needs an introduction. Thunderhead has become one of the faction’s most recognisable Warjacks, and it’s time to bring its crackling presence to the battlefield. Here is our own Rich Loxam’s take on the electric super heavy.
It’s big, it’s iconic, and when the lightning starts flying, enemy formations tend to disappear in a hurry.
The hogs are loose — Thornfall Alliance reinforcements arrive
The Thornfall Alliance Command Starter is available soon, giving you a ready-to-play 30-point force led by one of the Iron Kingdoms’ most notorious gourmands.
Alongside the starter, you’ll also find plenty of familiar Thornfall snouts. Razor Boars are ready to charge in numbers, Bone Grinders arrive to deal with whatever the battle leaves behind, and Dr Arkadius’ infamous creations, the War Hog and Road Hog, bring plenty of brute force to the table.
If you’ve been waiting for Thornfall to return, now’s a great time to dive in.

Steamforged geht ja jetzt digital in vollen. Leider ist Warmachine nix für mich. Dann eher Hordes.
Also zb Trolle vs Khador.
