Carcass Front is an essential box set for the Trench Crusade tabletop skirmish game.
The ever-restless armies of Hell stir once more in the devastated lands north of New Antioch known as the Carcass Front. Everywhere portents suggest that the return of Leviathan is nigh. Warbands of the Faithful and Fallen alike gather to fulfil the Prophecy of Leviathan in the hope of mankind’s salvation – or to complete its damnation.
Carcass Front is an essential box set for the Trench Crusade tabletop skirmish game that includes models for two opposing Warbands, scenarios, two campaigns, and useful accessories for your games.
In the box you will find:
The Carcass Front campaign book
This contains 96 pages of new and expanded rules, lore and art covering the embattled region of the Carcass Front and its key locations, as well as the major players in the conflict that will shape the next chapter in the Trench Crusade saga. There are expanded rules for the Procession of the Sacred Affliction and Heretic Naval Raiders as full Warbands, as well as details of two entire campaigns. The first is a 2-player narrative campaign which features a series of bespoke, linked scenarios themed around the raising (and optionally, slaying) of Leviathan. The second is a map-based campaign for 2-8 players that will see Warbands battle over the resources and esoteric secrets of the Carcass Front, and features various new mechanics to ensure that no two campaigns will ever be the same. Two complete Warbands: Procession of the Sacred Affliction and Heretic Naval Raiders
The box contains 16 miniatures, which make up full, ready to play, 700 Ducat Warbands, and each model comes with up to two assembly options. You can follow the included
guides to build one of the examples listed or choose from a selection of weapons, equipment, and head swaps to create your own!
Gaming accessories
All the elements you’ll need to fight your campaigns are provided, including a selection of terrain pieces, record sheets, and a premium A2 poster map that
you can use to track the progress of your Warbands.Starter set
Your first time in the trenches? This box also includes introductory rules to walk you through your first games so you can get stuck into the Trench Crusade.
The Procession of the Sacred Affliction
From left to right: Wrath of God Pilgrim, Zealot Pilgrim, Pilgrim, Castigator, War Prophet, Ecclesiastic Prisoner, Pilgrim, Pilgrim, Stigmatic Nun.
The baying hordes of the Faithful have gained a new Leper-Pilgrim armed with sword and shield, the mighty Wrath of God Leper-Pilgrim, the ferocious Stigmatic Nun, and the ever-watchful Castigator. This brings their flock up to a total of 9 models.
Heretic Naval Raiders
From left to right: Trooper, Chorister, Legionnaire, Heretic Priest, Legionnaire, Trooper, Anointed Heavy Infantry
The followers of Leviathan are joined by two new Legionairies armed with sub-machine guns, the bloodthirsty Anointed, and the horrifying Drowned Chorister.
This gives the Naval Raiders a total of 7 models.
Both factions are now complete, and all 16 minis have been revealed! Some of you may be wondering about the discrepancy in model count: these are ready to play warbands that weigh in at 700 ducats, and the Naval Raiders are a much more elite force compared to the ragged Procession of the Sacred Affliction. Each raider generally hits a lot harder than the average pilgrim, even with the giant millstones!
Also, just like with the Prussians before them, each model in these warbands comes with up to 2 assembly options. You’ve already seen the variant troopers in the original Carcass Front reveal and we’ll be showing off the ones for the other models as we get closer to the release date.
But that’s not all: the images shown here also feature the pieces of scatter terrain you’ll find in the Carcass Front box: abandoned sea mines and tank traps.
And yes, they will have rules. And no, we don’t necessarily recommend using a sea mine as cover.
These amazing minis were designed by Aragorn Marks, Gabriel Caramelo, Natalia Alfonso Romero, Miriam French and Israel Gonzalez and painted by Martin Grandbarbe, Sébastien Lavigne and Jyrio.
The Carcass Front box is a starter set and supplement box, coming to stores this July. You can pre-order yours now!
