Happy New Year Monsterpocalypsers!

We’re just coming up on a year since we began releasing Monsterpocalypse as STLs. We hope you have been enjoying the models so far, and we still have a few more releases ahead, including the Legion of Mutates and Zerkalo Bloc factions, as well as multiple handfuls of odds and ends that we’re working through the supports on.

On Wednesday this week, we will be launching a Tribe on MyMiniFactory.com for Monsterpocalypse. The Tribe will be primarily focused on Monsterpocalypse content that was originally released through retail after the Mythic Kickstarter was run. This includes factions like the Ancient Ones and First Guardians, but also will include factions like the Tritons, which are composed of models that were released after the Kickstarter as well as some that were included in the Kickstarter. So, we wanted to get in front of any questions about how that will be handled so you know what’s coming up.

As we stated a year ago, key to our mission is delivering the STLs for all of the content that was included in Mythic’s Kickstarter for free to all backers of the Kickstarter, and we will continue to fulfill that mission through the coming year. Our plan for the Tribe is to release a faction each month. In the instances where a faction includes any models that were part of the Kickstarter, those models will be delivered to your collection just as before. Models that were not part of the Kickstarter will be available through the Tribe or a la carte in our MyMiniFactory store.

As an example, we’re leading the Tribe launch with the Tritons. Backers of the Kickstarter will receive Krakenoctus, Leviathron, Psi-Eel and Steel Shell Crab (and you already have Anglax). The other models in the faction, including Archipelagon, Kraken Hatchling, Man-O-War, Ocean Hydra, Orca Huntsman, Sea Dragon, Steel Shell Crab Elite Alt. Sculpt and the Ketos Crab building will be packaged in the Tribe as well as offered through the MyMiniFactory store.

The Tribe will help us offset the ongoing costs of supporting the models, but more importantly, our hope is that it will help continue to build the Monsterpocalypse community so that we can continue to develop all new content in the future. Currently, we have about nine months of existing content to convert over to STLs for the Tribe. After that, we’d like to be delivering things for Monsterpocalypse that have yet to be dreamed up. And along the way, we’re hoping to fill a few holes in factions that have been waiting for their turn for a while.

We hope that you’ll check out the Tribe when it goes live Monday morning (~8am PST) and consider joining. And whether you do or not, we’re offering the first month as a free trial through MyMiniFactory, so if you’ve been yearning for those defenders of the deep, then the Tritons, as well as our Welcome pack full of great monsters will be yours for free, just for signing up, whether you stay in the Tribe or not.

The first Privateer Press Tribe for Monsterpocalypse is now live!

Over the past year, we have been converting the models for the Monsterpocalypse miniature game to supported STLs that you can print at home.
