Did you ever put your hand in the pocket of an old jacket, and find a $20 you didn’t know was there, or reached into the couch cushions and found that thing you’d lost? Some days, you just get lucky. While sorting through the First Guardians, we found a never-produced Hummingbird Spirit elite sculpt. And what better way to celebrate the occasion with a small tweak for these supernatural beasts?
Hummingbird Spirits gain Flight!
“You know that one thing birds do? That one special ability which birds have been known for since time immemorial? That particular thing that one might say is, for all intents and purposes, the defining characteristic of birds?
Well, now these birds can do that too.
All right, show of hands: who here thought Hummingbird Spirits already had Flight? If you have played this wrong before, don’t fret! This was an all-too-common mistake.
The main appeal of Hummingbird Spirits is Action: Transpose. Grunts fill that role quite well, and the Elites needed just a little something to help set them apart and justify their inclusion. As such, the Hummingbird Spirit Elites gain a new rule: Death Charm.
Death Charm – Enemy special rules do not trigger on hitting or destroying this model.
Now, these quasi-spiritual beings react a bit more like one might expect from something born of hopes, dreams, and the scent of flowers! Enemy special rules do not trigger on either hitting or destroying them, opening up an interesting niche for the elites. Worried about your ghostly birds being Repurposed into zombies? Not looking forward to your opponent Flashing away to hassle your lines after their attack? Would you rather not feed some vicious foe an extra power die through Power Gorge? Well, worry no more!

Muss mal wieder den Drucker anwerfen. Da sind ein paar tolle Sachen dabei. Hat jemand ne gute Empfehlung für transparentes Resin?
Anycubic High clear Resin verwende ich. Ist mit entsprechender Nachbehandlung sehr klar.
Als jemand, der noch recht neu beim Drucken von Resin ist: was sind denn eure Resin Empfehlungen und warum?
Ist eher eine Glaubensfrage. Ich habe schon viele durch und verwende momentan Anycubic Texture Resin HD Grey für Minis, manchmal Tough Resin für flexible Sachen wie Speere. Den Rest meiner vielen alten Resine wie Standard und ABS-Like verwende ich für klobige Sachen und Bases. Und eben das High Clear für durchsichtige Sachen wie Fenster und Kabinenhauben.

Ist das Tough Resin auch sonst gut? Hatte mir das überlegt generell zu verwenden, damit die Minis nicht so schnell brechen.
Eher nicht, da es nicht so detailreich ist und die Supports sehr schwer zu entfernen sind, weil es so elastisch ist.
Ich verwende es wirklich nur bei Sachen die sehr elastisch sein müssen. Zum Beispiel bei den Ästen meines Weiden-Ents. Die würden sonst sofort brechen.
Hatte es auch schon mal mit anderen Harzen gemischt, aber das ist halt immer mit Aufwand verbunden und man weis nie so recht, was dabei rauskommt bzw. wie sich die Druckparameter ändern.
ABS like ist ein guter Kompromiss. Allerdings muss ich sagen, das ich bei den vielen Versionsnummern irgendwann den Überblick verloren habe.
