April Historical Release!

this is another month of Saxon infantry for the Historicals! i think were close to wrapping up the troops soon and move onto cavalry/characters, for those counting this is 46 troop sculpts? anyway these figures will go up on the Patreon/Tribes as the April historicals release! available to download on the 5th of april! as will the fantasy preveiw*

the first kit to cover this month are the armoured warriors with sword and shield, these models are inline with the huscarls from last month, with chain coats and helmets, and just provide another wargear option, ive done these all with swords because i can see people using more then 6 and thus will be worth doing a set of axes aswell, the 2nd kit is another pack of spearman, these ones are totally without armour, and just have there spear and shield, different game systems define armour in different ways so i try and cover atleast 3 teirs, heavy/light and none and these guys are the none! they will that means fit in well with the vendel/carolingian spearman packs because there helmets wont give them away as from a different range.

next month could be a couple of different peices, open to specific request of what to do first, id still like to do another couple of packs of infantry just because, once i move onto normans next i dont want there to be gaps, but i might break it up with characters/mounted units so if anyones building an army they can get to the more enjoyable bits without trudging through 60 foot Sculpts worth

*the fantasy preveiw will be up tomorrow! this month was full of different requests, so ive ticked off, Dwarf hearthguard commanders, Elven captain w/ sword & shieild, Goblin captains/shamans, some Dwarf Elite troops for example, that and some more will be shown off tomorrow!

April Fantasy Release!

here is the April fantasy release! this month is a bunch of requests from different people on FB and in the discord, it touches on the dwarves/goblins and a missing elf, and as i write this now looking at the group image, it is also the month of Captains pointing with there weapon apparently? anyway these figures will be available on the 5th to download through MMF or Patreon!

so starting with the Elf captain, it was pointed out to me that the existing elf captain dosnt support a shield! so ive fixed that, the request aswell was for a flaired helmet, this model has the normal helmet shape, but the front was a crest that extends wider from the front, he will naturally match the wood elves from last year,

next up ive done a couple of goblin personalities a very very eager duelist of a captain appearing to be issuing a challange, captain with bow, and then a shaman, these guys are to lead the warriors from last month, the captain is naturally my favourite of the bunch with that pose, but the shamans staff is also nifty with 2 dwarf heads, that still have there beards. the weapon hes weilding is meant to be a broken bone, but its possible it looks like something else in hindesight… none the less they will hopefully stand out as the characters from the warriors! the captain is done here without a modelled on shield, but his pose would fit one if you wanted to add it

then were up to dwarves, so this one i deviated a little bit from the request which was for a set with hammers/mattocks, instead ive gone for flails, these guys are built of the saphire ridge design, with square shaped chest peices, instead of brigadine/gambeson however its steel plates, and split vambraces like the huscarls, like the huscarls they will also do well mirrored as nothing is really forcing them to be in 1 orientation, ive done 5 warriors, and one helmetless figure to serve as a captain. and then next up are a hearthguard banner bearer and hornblower, the banner is a seperate peice and ideally youll use a 1mm brass rod for the banner pole.

then next up are the last 2 figures i remastered when i started updating the dwarves but just hadnt got around to being in STL’s, this being the Dwarf king and the dwarf Champion. the dwarf champion is a pretty similar update to an older champion, unlike the rest of the range which got updated he was actually mostly ok, but his cloak has been massivly improved, beard, thickness of the axes, all round redone everything but the chainmail to match into the new aesthetic, while the dwarf king! he was a brand new sculpt done a little while ago now, up until now has only been a metal figure.

im getting close to wrapping up the dwarves! so the goblins will likely be the main focus now with dwarves being the minor focus, not sure how long the goblins will run for, basically till ive done the basic army roster, and ticked off a bunch of your requests!
