Finde ich nicht schön und zugleich recht teuer. Da habend die meisten von uns wahrscheinlich viel besser aussehende Spieltische zuhause als das. Die Papphäuser wirken wie eine Zeitreise in die frühe Ära von Warhammer mit den Startersets oder Papp-Erweiterungen…
Ich bin wirklich kein Fan davon, Papp- und 3D Teile zu mischen. Beides hat eine andere Designsprache und dass hier die uralten Wände und Zäune verwendet wurden, lässt es halbgar wirken. Wenig Aufwand… Aber dann ein Recht stattlicher Preis.

Ich find es klasse und auch der Preis ist gut. Ein sehr ausgewogenes Spielfeld für alle Szenarien
Die spannende Frage ist eher wie aufwändig Auf- und Abbau sind. Das sieht mir nach ein wenig zu vielen Teilen aus, um die flach zu lagern.
Die 90er haben angerufen und wollen ihr Pappgelände zurück.
Mantic hat und kann so gutes Kunststoffgelände, kein Grund auf Pappe umzusteigen.
In Zeiten von günstigsten 3D Drucker sowas noch anbieten zu wollen. Ich drucke gerade die Stormcrow City von Myminifactory und das dauert zwar, ist aber das epischste Gelände das ich je gesehen habe.
Und jedes gedruckte Billo-Gebäude im Mortheimstil ist bedeutend schöner als die Pappe hier.
Pappe, ne. Das ist definitiv nichts für mich. Gerade im Fantasy oder historischem Setting wirkt das immer zu steril und glatt. Dazu kommt noch, daß in den meisten Fällen die Pappe glänzt.
2D Gelände dazu holt mich auch überhaupt nicht ab (ja, ich weiß daß das praktisch ist).
Als „out of the box“ Fertiglösung zur Not OK, sonst definitiv nicht.
Dazu noch der recht stolze Preis…
Du kannst sehr realistisch mit Pappe bauen, aber dafür braucht man einen Plotter
Nein, nicht wirklich. Bei SF Settings geht das noch einigermaßen, bei Fantasy/Historisch nicht. Das wirkt alles wie Theaterkulissen.

Was ist echtes Geld?
Dann lass ich mal den Mantic-Fanboy raushängen:
Mantic kann echt tolles Pappgelände, dass auf dem Spielfeld kombiniert mit 3D Elementen richtig gut aussieht.
Ach so… das ist dann Halo.
Andere Firmen verwenden auch Pappgebäude und nur Papierposter wie z.B. Warcrow.
Okay, die kosten dann auch weniger als 1/3. Und es sind alle Spielmarker dabei.
Es zeigt zumindest Anfängern auf, was es als 2. Möglichkeit direkt nach Bücher-Bergen und Joghurbecher-Wachtürmen gibt (nutz jemand sowas heuzutage überhaupt noch?).
Wie gesagt: zeigt.
Für den Preis gibt es, wie von den anderen angesprochen, echt bessere & hübschere Alternative.

Ich mag auch die Hügel. bei den Bäumen fehlt mir die Nahansicht.
Insgesamt holt mich allerdings das Papp-Gelände von Battle Systems mehr ab und ich empfinde es als für das gebotene etwas günstiger.
Grundsätzlich zu sagen, wie kann man in der Zeit des 3D-Drucks auf Pappe zurückgreifen, finde ich aber schwierig. Einmal ist es eine Preisfrage, vor allem aber auch eine Zeitfrage. Ich habe schon Probleme genug Zeit zum Malen meiner Minis zu finden und freue mich, wenn ich wenig Aufwand ins Gelände stecken muss.
Ich kann mein Tisch mit 4Ground zustellen, aber natürlich wirkt MDF auch steriler als ein detailliertes Plastikgelände. Mir hat es aber unheimlich Zeit gespart.
Wichtigste Frage ist was die Hügel einzeln kosten werden.
Sind ja alte und neue Teile gemischt und zumindest die Preise der bisherigen Sets kennt man ja.

Karton Sets kosten bei Halo auch 35€, wären dann schon 120€.
Glaube ich fast nicht das die Hügel dann auch 35€ kosten auch weil das der GW Preis wäre.
Nimmt man an das die Gebäude im Set „gratis“ sind wären 10€ für die Hügel übrig was mir schon fast zu günstig vorkommt.
Oha, den Wald hatte ich damals aber günstiger gekauft. Hab von denen eine Kiste voll für allerlei mit Fantasy. Dafür ist er gut.
