Carnevale: The Drowned Nun Rises from the Depths May 29th
To challenge the dominion of the church in Venice is a certain way to have the inquisitors pay you a visit when you’re least expecting it. Many heretics have walked the cities cobblestones, claiming the Vatican has no true power over their lives, and many heretics have been burned upon a pyre for spreading such nonsense. Now, though, a new kind of threat dares to challenge the will of the gods‘ chosen warriors, and this time, she’s one of their own.
Once a devout and pure servant of the Church, the nun‘ life ended when a gang of thugs pursued her through Venice and drowned her in the Grand Canal. As she sank, a vision revealed the downfall of her god and the corruption of the faith she devoted herself to. Renouncing her beliefs, she accepted the truth of Dagon, who restored her and made her his prophet. Now called the Drowned Nun, her supernaturally empowered voice – known as “The Word of Dagon“ spreads his message. With absolute conviction, she works to convert all of Venice and prepare the city for Dagon’s return.
A herald of Dagon and a certain sign of his power, the Drowned Nun is a powerful Hero in Carnevale miniatures game who wields the power of Fateweaving & Runes of Sovereignty. It is through these unnatural abilities that this former servant of god has become such a powerful mage that her abilities threaten the churches work in Venice. Perhaps this figures most devasting gift is her unique spell, ‚Dagonite Baptism‘ which whilst difficult to cast, is very useful for waring down enemy gang members. Players will need to total up every Ace rolled then pick one enemy character in line of sight and within 3“ of the Nun. That enemy character then loses that many Life Points Plus 1. Of course, this character retains the ability to use all the other spells outlined in her chosen Disciplines.

Wow das ist echt cool.
Man, die kloppen gerade konstant geiles Zeug raus. Konzept und Ausführung hier echt der Hammer.
Kann es sein, dass die Carnevale-Minis mittlerweile mehr dynamische Posen bekommen? Verfolge das System nicht so sehr, aber „früher“ fand ich die Posen extrem statisch.
Ich war schon versucht mir davon einige Minis zu holen, allerdings hab ich irgendwo gelesen, dass die Qualität nicht so Bombe ist, also Resin mit Löchern. Vielleicht bin ich auch nur GW Finecast geschädigt.
Hat sich das mittlerweile gebessert oder ist da woöglich garnichts dran?
Gebessert hat sich die Qualität auf jeden Fall (vor allem, wenn man es mit den alten DZC Resinmodellen vergleicht) und es gibt viele Modelle, bei denen man wirklich mit wenig Nacharbeit auskommt (Gussgrate & Flash entfernen, verbogene Teile durch Erhitzen gerade biegen; also Dinge, die man bei Resinmodellen mMn erwarten darf). Das Material ist auch eher weich als spröde, verzeiht es auch, wenn das Modell mal irgendwo runterfällt.
Generell würde ich sagen, wenn ich an high quality Resin denke, dann ist TTC nicht der erste Name, der mir einfällt, aber die Qualität ist auch definitiv nicht Finecast-katastrophal. Und wenn mal etwas gar nicht klar geht, hat man in jedem Pack einen Code, mit dem man sich an TTC wenden kann und bisher habe ich da nur gutes aus meinem Umfeld mitbekommen.
Den guten Support seitens TTC kann ich bestätigen. Hab schon ganze Modelle neu zugeschickt bekommen, weil mal ein Teil gefehlt hat oder stattdessen ein falsches in der Box drin war. Antworten auch ziemlich schnell auf Mails, wenn ich mich richtig erinnere
