THE REGULARS ARE OUT!”

The calls of Paul Revere, William Dawes, Samuel Prescott, and Sybil Ludington on the night of April 18, 1775 set the stage for a dramatic confrontation between the American colonists and Redcoats. British Army soldiers and Royal Navy marines had been sent to Concord to seize colonial military supplies and arrest two of their leaders: Samual Adams and John Hancock. Alerted by the riders, militia from all over New England who had been gathering around Boston for just this type of provocation, hurried to meet the British column. The resulting battle lasted for over 12 hours as the soldiers retreated toward Boston and the colonists hounded and harassed them.

Two months later on June 17th, British forces moved to dislodge the militia from a hastily dug redoubt on Breed’s Hill in nearby Charlestown across Boston Harbor. Almost 5000 troops engaged in a bloody confrontation until a third British assault put the Americans into retreat. Erroneously called “The Battle of Bunker Hill” after a taller hill nearby, it shattered British assumptions that the American militia could never hold their own against professional British troops.

This hard plastic box set includes enough parts to build 30 28mm Minutemen. A mix of musket types reflects the diverse arms of the militia and a variety of heads represents the many types of men who took part in these battles.

Models require assembly and painting. Bases are not included.

  • Die gefallen mir leider wirklich sehr. Aber für Muskets & Tomahawks habe ich eigentlich schon genug.

Argh, diese furchtbaren First World Problems.
