Titan Forge: Neuigkeiten zu Bloodfields
Titan Forge präsentieren Neuigkeiten zur dritten Edition von Bloodfields und genereller Entwicklung.
Bloodfields 3rd Edition
Hi there, all!
Let me start by saying I realize how disconcerting (to say the least) it is that we were not active here with you over the last year.
It felt really bad to not be able to offer you new content while the 3rd edition was still in the works.
And while we would really have loved to fully focus our efforts on it, make it ready sooner, we have really had to take a step back and focus on business development to make sure that Titan Forge keeps rolling. It’s not so sunny out there right now. And even the giants like CMON are struggling with $8 mil in losses last year.
We had to diversify our scope. Expanded our production to cover the entire Warmachine manufacturing for Europe. Launched new STL service with SFG (another new service is coming too, with an even bigger partner). Outbranched to RPG miniatures – with FLP Dragonbane last month and Loot Tavern’s Voidsea coming this month. Tied ourselves up with Glass Cannon to collaborate on making a Diablo board game and RPG.
I have listed some of the stuff above to not just throw around empty words about the company’s development. But I also know that there is no excuse for not keeping you better updated.
Here is the really important part, though.
While Bloodfields is not our largest or most profitable title (yet!), we would like you to know that this is our most treasured one. It’s true. And not just because it is the big boss’s baby (it helps, though). It is our own game that we play, talk about, and get passionate about the ideas to improve and expand it.
I do not see a path where Titan Forge keeps going, but Bloodfields are left behind. Getting the system out there to get it on par with other big tabletop skirmish staples will always be our goal and dream.
We know that you mostly agree that Bloodfields is a crazy good game, one of the best in the category. But you also have some concerns about the third edition and continuity of the game.

First, some initial info about Bloodfields launch pointed to October but was then changed to February. That was a hard choice. We calculated the time we need to complete all graphics required to launch to the day. Although we needed just a little more time than until October, the dead season in crowdfunding begins in November. Launching a campaign then is ill-advised, and we had to move to the next viable slot. It’s a pain, we know, but we hope it will fly in no time.Secondly, the marketing. You know, and we know that there is no outreach without a good promotion.
We have launched the preview of Bloodfields on Gamefound as part of Gamefound’s Feast – it comes with many additional perks that will help out with organic growth.
But this is just an extra. Most importantly, we are finally partnered up with an agency that has real results. One that we are not afraid to throw a sizeable budget at. The Dragonbane campaign ended last week, so the Bloodfields marketing is coming up next.
We have 1000 followers now, before even starting the paid promotion. There is a strategy, and there is time to grow it exponentially.
The campaign itself is not our only focus here, though. The 3rd edition’s main goal is to make the game more suitable for retail and grow the player base through offering a cool and complete store product. We have tried many other things in the past, but this seems to be the best, possibly only way to reach the level of popularity and recognition as other skirmish titles.
If there are other things you have doubts about and ideas, and questions any suggestions, please share them. I will be here constantly to keep you in the loop.
Hopefully, we can make up for the valid concerns you had recently, and you can still help us make the Third Edition the best edition with your feedback.
Please let me know what you think. I will get back tomorrow to address it and share some more plans. Cheers!
