PRIESTS OF SAEL

The most fanatical and ruthless servants of Sael. Clad in ceremonial purple cloaks, they wield blessed hammers, forged from white stone. Their belts are adorned with enormous buckles bearing the symbol of Sael, crafted from rare rock crystals. Each priest is not only a devoted warrior of Sael, but also a proclaimer of the truths Sael inscribed on the wall of the Ahon-ur Chapel in the city of Daaran. For this reason, Priests often travel to remote corners of the world, where they ensure the growth of Sael’s cult. Their physical and mental strength allows them to persuade the inhabitants of villages and cities to pay homage to Sael. Some are convinced by tales of Sael’s power, others by the prospect of joining a powerful cult, and still others by generous gifts from the Priests. Priests of Sael are known for stopping at nothing to gain new followers.

The greatest temple of the Priests of Sael is located in southern Ugruk-hor in the Binhandal Mountains. There, in underground cathedrals, the Priests and their assistants craft powerful magical artefacts that serve the Er’Sael army. The Priests sell some of these artefacts to primitive tribes, rulers of distant cities, or anyone possessing something the Priests desire. The Orcs of the Er’Sael clan came into possession of considerable knowledge of magic, and though this knowledge often cost many lives, the clan never hesitated to explore its dark side.

During battles, the lord of the Er’Sael clan can use the forces of the Priests of Sael. Although their assistance costs the lord’s coffers dearly, they are undoubtedly worth it. For the Priests, this is a moment to demonstrate the power Sael bestows upon his most loyal followers during battle.

Tales of battles won by the Priests of Sael spread far beyond the borders of Ugruk-hor, serving as a compelling argument to join the cult, even for those who were initially more reluctant. The omniscient Sael knows how to tantalise and outwit them, thus keeping them forever in his bonds. Joining his cult means unconditional sacrifice, and he exacts it without mercy.
