Alkemy: 2. Edition Kickstarter
Alchemist Miniatures finanzieren auf Kickstarter eine englische Übersetzung der 2. Alkemy-Edition.
A LITTLE STORY
The rulebook you are currently holding is that of the game’s second edition which is expected to stay in use for many years to come. Alkemy’s first edition was released in 2007 and stayed current for a span of 15 years.
Alkemy’s story has always been intertwined with that of its players. Some of them began as beta testers in 2008 as part of Galleon collective, under Kraken Editions, then took the reins of testing and balancing at the end of 2010 when the game was bought by Studio 38 to finally take over the IP in 2013, forming Alchemist Miniatures company and creating the “Blitz” format. In 2019, a new group of players created “additional” rules by introducing supplemental cards to the game, which have now been baked in this second edition.
So, the question that arises is: why this second edition?
Well, we had a unique opportunity to rework and balance many parts of the game, making for a consistent second edition framework. First of all, the last balancing update had been released in 2017 and was starting to show its age. Then, there was the matter of the “Command” and “Secret Objectives” cards, which were now widely used by players and as such merited to be made a proper part of the game. In light of all this, starting to work on a second edition of Alkemy made perfect sense to us.
Fifteen years after its start, Alkemy got a consequent makeover, without losing its identity, yet still stays true to the spirit and the core mechanics that made the 2007 rules great. This second edition brings a whole host of small improvements and developments, which enrich the game without complicating it. Keep it simple without being simplistic…

Vieleicht kann das ja jemand beantworten: was heisst bei denen den Plastik?
Erste Edition war PVC(?), jetzt Resin aber Starterbox Plastik
Das ist die alte Starter Box der KS verlinkt so gar auf die alte Starter Box im shop (die da leicht teurer ist)
Also würde ich von PVC aus gehen wenn sie von Plastik sprechen.
Ich meine aber das hier das gleiche Sprachproblem vorliegt wie wen die Engl plastic sagen. Sie meinen nicht das HIPS was die deutschen Tabletopper darunter verstehen sondern einfach Kunststoff was es eigentlich auch ist. Ich kenne das auch nur von Deutschen Spielern die HIPS mit Plaste gleichsetzen
In Französischen wäre das dann plastique was halt Plaste oder Kunststoff meint.
Das dieses Spiel sich solange halten würde, habe ich nicht gedacht. Es muss ja was dran sein, wenn es eine so treue Fanbase hat. Ich drücke die Daumen für den Kickstarter und werde mir das mal anschauen.
Ich bin gehyped und werde mich da wohl mit anschließen. Ein wenig verwirrend kommt es mir allerdings vor, da ich es lange nicht gespielt habe. Vielleicht weiß hier jemand mehr und kann mir da etwas erklären.
Wenn ich meinen ganzen alten Kram noch daheim in der Kiste habe brauche ich doch im Prinzip nur das neue Regelbuch und die neuen Profilkarten? Die Box mit Würfeln gibt es nur in Kombination mit einer Starterbox, nicht einzeln? Gibt es die Profilkarten irgendwo zum runterladen? Fertig gedruckt ist zwar nett, aber knapp 100€ für ein Update meiner Fraktionen auch etwas happig. So viele Fragen und hier ist auch gar nicht der richtige Ort sie zu stellen. Aber vielleicht hat ja jemand etwas Ahnung.
Soviel mir bekannt ist gibt es die Karten nur in gedruckter Form im Shop zusammen mit der jeweiligen Figur in Englisch. Der kompletten Kartensatz Fab es Mal zu erwerben haben die aber aus dem Shop entfernt und ich gehe davon aus das man ihn nach dem Kickstarter wieder in diesen aufnimmt.
Die ,,Blitz,, Variante ist noch mit den alten Karten spielbar auf einem kleineren Feld damit es ein schnelleres Spiel wird.
Die neuen Regel beinhalten sowas wie verdeckte Missionen oder so ähnlich. Habe es mir noch nicht genauer angeschaut. Ist alles ohne Gewähr.
Zum Thema plastik, in der Anfangszeit von Alkemy haben die nur alle Figuren(Ausnahme von Sonderfiguren die waren aus Resin) aus einem bestimmten Plastik gemacht den man nur mit Sekundenkleber kleben konnte,die Figuren werden aber nach und nach aus Resin ersetzt. Was bei einigen Modellen echt nötig war.
Ich freu mich das es bald die neuen Regel in Englisch geben wird und hoffe das es den ein oder den anderen wieder oder zu Alkemy zieht.
Es ist und bleibt einer meiner Lieblings Spiele.
Ah, vielen Dank für diese Erklärung. Dann ist es vermutlich egal ob ich mir die Karten jetzt alle hole oder nur die wichtigsten und später im Shop den Rest.
Die Karten die bei dem Alkemy-Blitz Kickstarter dabei waren sind dann noch erste Edition? Der müsste hier auch irgendwo ungespielt herumliegen fällt mir ein. Da müsste dann wohl auch ein neuer Satz Würfel dabei gewesen sein, kann ich wohl diesmal getrost beim Regelbuch und Karten der vier Grundfraktionen bleiben.

Außerdem haben mir viele der jüngeren Minis zuletzt gar nicht mehr gefallen.
Schade. Als es damals raus kam, hat es mir echt gut gefallen.
