Warzone Eternal: Kickstarter läuft
Das Warzone-Comeback ist gestartet.
Und darum geht es:
THE WORLDS OF OUR SOLAR SYSTEM RING WITH CONFLICT. The rival megacorporations—Bauhaus, Capitol, Cybertonic, Imperial, and Mishima—engaged in an endless jockeying for power and territory, send their bravest and best to war in a futile effort to improve the bottom line, all while the true threat to all of humanity grows in power. Emerging from dark citadels sprouting across all of the inner planets, from the caverns of Mercury to the fertile lands of Mars, the extra-dimensional forces of the Dark Legion scour the planets, their military might lead by Algeroth, the Apostle of War.
This is the time of the Second Corporate Wars. This is the time of Warzone Eternal!
Everyone who pledges to the Warzone Eternal Kickstarter campaign in the first 48 hours will receive an electronic copy of the Graveton Protocol, a narrative campaign of linked scenarios authored by Bryan CP Steele set in the sweltering battleground of Venus‘ Graveton Archipelago.
BRINGING BACK A CLASSIC
Warzone, the classic tabletop miniatures game of skirmishes in the techno-fantasy universe of Mutant Chronicles, returns with Warzone Eternal! A massively popular miniatures game in the 1990s, Warzone captured the imagination of players with its adrenaline-fueled imagery and its quick and engaging ruleset. Res Nova seeks to recapture that spirit with Warzone Eternal and has assembled a crack team to do so.
Warzone Eternal is a fast-playing skirmish miniatures game in which players collect a force representing one of humanity’s five powerful megacorporations—Bauhaus, Capitol, Cybertronic, Imperial, and Mishima—or the hordes of necrobionic warriors of Algeroth, the Dark Legion Apostle of War. Through scenario-driven battles, players will engage in the constant covert, or not so covert, fight for supremacy amongst the megacorporations or the never-ending battle against the darkness to preserve humanity—or destroy it.
By supporting this campaign, you will bring Warzone back to life and help Res Nova continue exploring the many exciting opportunities for battles in the Mutant Chronicles universe!
Warzone Eternal launches with a Unit Box for each of the five megacorporations of humanity, each containing enough components to let you build 5 models from one of two different unit types, along with all of their specialists. Algeroth, Dark Legion Apostle of War, with his preference for units dedicated to specific roles on the battlefield, launches with a pair of Unit Boxes and a single Support Box from which you can build your force.
Check out the FAQ for a full breakdown of all of the components in each Unit and Support Box.
FOR LONG-TIME FANS
We understand that some long-time Warzone fans may be disappointed that their favorite faction is not part of this Kickstarter campaign. We’re fans too, so we get that. But to assemble the focused crowd-funding campaign that we desired and to manage production obligations to facilitate a timely delivery of rewards, we had to make the hard choice to narrow our selection of available factions. Because Warzone Eternal is set during the Second Corporate Wars, representation from each corporation was critical, as was the overwhelming threat of the Dark Legion. Rest assured that we’re as eager as you to explore the rest of this universe, and a successful campaign to launch Warzone Eternal will help us add the Brotherhood, Algeroth’s sibling Apostles, and even the Tribes of Earth as quickly as we can.
PRIDE & TRADITION
Lead by the four ancient families of Duke Electors, Bauhaus is a tradition-bound corporation intent on maintaining an appearance of quality and superiority, and possessing the wherewithal to back it up. Gold braided uniforms and military titles are the measure of a Bauhauser’s status in the corporation, but rarely are these only for show. While the Dragoon heavy tank regiments are the pride of the Bauhaus military, even their infantry have a reputation for being well-trained and armored with the finest equipment in the system, and only Imperial can legitimately claim to have special forces on par with those from Bauhaus.
THE BLITZERS are Bauhaus‘ rapid assault special forces unit. While often used to hunt and destroy the armored units of their enemies, the Blitzers are called upon whenever Bauhaus needs to take a difficult objective, and take it fast.
THE VENUSIAN RANGERS are the most famous of all Bauhaus special forces, and it’s a respect that is well-earned. The stories of their actions have passed into legend and donning the skull mask iconic to this unit is an honor on par with commanding Bauhaus‘ mightiest tanks.
FAME & PROFIT
Capitol is the largest and most powerful of the megacorporations and, unlike its peers, the only true corporation, with power held in the hands of its shareholder citizens, as opposed to an aristocratic minority. For Capitol, the business of the corporation is business, and every shareholder has the opportunity to raise themselves up to a position of power and prosperity – or at least that’s what Capitol’s media would have you believe. As the largest corporation, Capitol is constantly beset by encroaching competitors and has adopted the expensive, but effective, approach of maintaining the largest armed forces in the system to deter their rivals and swiftly retaliate against those too stubborn to be deterred.
THE FREE MARINES are the most famous of Capitol’s special forces, both due to their actual exploits and their regular portrayal as the heroes in blockbuster films. All are decorated soldiers who have been court-martialed for disciplinary infractions and now undertake the most daring missions to reclaim their place in Capitol society.
Based in the Mishiman stronghold of Mercury, THE SUNSET STRIKERS are tasked with defending Capitol interests in the claustrophobic confines of the innermost planet. Since foiling a plot on Lord Heir Moya’s life by a heretic cell within the Capitolian diplomatic corps, the Sunset Strikers have been granted the right to bear the blades of a Mishiman soldier and have become Capitol’s finest melee combatants.
STEEL & DEFIANCE
The youngest of all of the megacorporations, Cybertronic appeared suddenly via an orchestrated series of stock acquisitions by a seemingly insignificant holding company. Just as mysterious was the sudden influx of the finest scientists, officers, diplomats, and administrators to Cybertronic from every other corporation, swelling its population until it rivaled that of its venerable peers. But the suspicion as to its founding pales in comparison to the distrust of Cybertronic’s concerted efforts to fuse man and machine in creation of its forces, directly in defiance of Brotherhood edict. But Cybertonic doesn’t have time, or concern, for those hidebound to tradition.
THE CHASSEURS represent the ideal Cybertonic foot soldier. Strength-enhanced through bionic integration, efficient and coordinated via networked processors, and armed with state of the art, reliable weaponry. The Chasseurs cold, emotionless demeanor may unnerve observers, but Cybertronic is happy to leave the charismatic war heroes to Capitol.
THE MIRRORMEN, conversely, are the public relations soldiers of Cybertronic, deployed when the corporation needs to clearly communicate its ruthless ability to achieve its goals. A near complete bionic overhaul and light-distorting armor make the Mirrormen blindingly fast and likely to overwhelm their opposition before they know a battle has even been engaged.
UNITY & DETERMINATION
The smallest of the megacorporations, it has been the policy of the noble clans that govern Imperial that expansion and growth should be accomplished through acquisition – whether through the stock exchanges on Luna or military aggression. Their tendency to the latter, despite having the smallest military of any of the corporations, means its soldiers are rigorously trained, equipped with the most effective (and typically heaviest) equipment, and possessed of a stubborn underdog spirit that makes them a formidable foe.
As the first special forces unit formed exclusively to fight the Dark Legion, THE BLOOD BERETS have become a source of inspiration for all humanity, not just Imperials. Though time and corporate interests have increasingly replaced this noble role with more mundane military matters, they remain a valiant and resolute force.
Though founded at the same time as their far more famous brethren, Imperial soldiers of THE GOLDEN LIONS special forces unit have never enjoyed the same vaunted reputation. But this is a trade-off they gladly accept, as they know their role, as specialists in inter-corporate warfare, is far more important to the continued thriving of the Imperial corporation.
HONOR & INDUSTRY
From their domains on Mercury, Venus, and Mars, the Lord Heirs of Mishima plot against each other and wage a silent war for power and to position themselves as the next Overlord of the corporation. The most feudal of the megacorporations, Mishima is ruled by its Samurai, each a noble beholden to a more powerful liege lord in a line that ends with the Overlord themselves. Only service to their liege ensures their continued prosperity, and so all Samurai are brought up with a tradition of self-sacrifice that stands in stark contrast to the beliefs of many of their rival corporations.
The elite soldiers of a Samurai lord, HATAMOTO are trusted personal retainers and advisors. On the battlefield, they represent the finest soldiers in the Mishiman corporation. Unflagging in the face of their enemies and peerless experts with their ceremonial blades, these warriors follow a strict martial code.
Drawn from those Samurai exhibiting an aptitude for Ki power manipulation normally expressed only by Mystics and Shadow Walkers, THE SHINOBI were the secret strike force of Lord Heir Mariko of Mars. Their use has since been adopted by her siblings and their subservient lords, making these teleporting infiltrators an increasingly common sight.
THE APOSTLE OF WAR
The Dark Legion is the single greatest threat humanity has ever faced. An extradimensional force that poured into the solar system, awakened and unleashed by mankind’s unquenchable desire for conquest and dominion, its hordes of demonic aliens, necrobionic creations, mutated and resurrected humans, and misguided heretics threaten to scour the inner planets to dust. Chief amongst the Dark Legion’s Apostles is Algeroth, the Master of Dark Technology and the Lord of Destruction. From the necro-vats and distortion chambers in his Citadels march an endless horde dedicated to humanity’s eradication.
The lowliest of Algeroth’s servants, THE UNDEAD LEGIONNAIRES form the backbone of his legions. Their bodies stolen from the graves and battlefields that litter the inner planets, they are animated with an unsophisticated intelligence, a blunt tool of war under the control of the officers of the Dark Legion.
Those living captives of the Dark Legion that survive the agonizing gene reprogramming and body distorting processes of Algeroth’s distortion chambers emerge as NECROMUTANTS. Cruelly cunning and possessing a fragment of their human personality, Necromutants are a near perfect tool of war.
Willing heretics or captives exhibiting particularly strong tactical acumen are brought to the distortion chambers to create CENTURIONS, monstrously strong beings of malevolence. With grating barks of command, they serve Algeroth as officers, leading small kohorts of Undead Legionnaires and Necromutants.
Towering over the hordes around them, RAZIDES are monsters of metal and black iron, muscles and blood. The creation of Algeroth’s finest Tekrons, the Razides bring massive necrotech weapons to bear on the enemies of the Legion, driving back resistance to be swallowed by the ranks of Undead Legionnaires and Necromutants.
Warzone Eternal gameplay is fast and engaging. Played on a 3 foot by 3 foot table with forces of 10-20 models (though you may of course play smaller or larger games), combatants get to grips with each other quickly, eliminating turns spent maneuvering just to get into range.
As with classic Warzone mechanics, each game turn consists of players alternating activations of the units in their force, with each unit able to perform a number of different actions during their activation. To represent the skirmish level focus of the game and the heroic possibilities of every combatant, most models will activate and operate independently. Only the most raw foot soldier or the mindless undead are activated in groups—but even then each model is able to act independent of the other models in that group.
In addition, Warzone Eternal introduces a reaction system, offering players a limited range of actions that can be performed in response to the actions of their opponent. The result is a constantly engaging game where no player sits idle awaiting the completion of another player’s turn.
With a broad assortment of special abilities and a variety of weaponry to represent the iconic armament of the Mutant Chronicles universe, you will have a rich range of different unit types from which to build your force—even just from the Unit Boxes available through this Kickstarter campaign.
Scenario-driven gameplay helps further define the narrative experience, with objectives that go beyond simply eliminating your opponent’s force – though that’s a perfectly fine way to play the game as well!

Das sind die Pledges:
We have created a number of different reward levels from which you can choose based upon your interest level in Warzone Eternal. Additionally, all items produced during this campaign, including every item in each reward level, are separately available as Add-Ons, thereby allowing you to pick exactly the collection of items they’re looking for. Actual selection of options will occur in the post-campaign pledge manager.
Stretch goals are not initially planned for this campaign, but that will likely change depending on campaign success.
When considering which reward level to choose and which Add-Ons to include, note that most of the Unit Boxes contain the components to load-out more than 5 models. This, combined with the customizable options of most of the Unit Boxes means that selecting multiple copies of a Unit Box is necessary to field the full range of unit options and does not mean identical looking duplicate models.
Please note that all images shown in the reward levels below are works in progress and may differ slightly in final form, subject to design and production considerations.
Prices are not inclusive of VAT or other applicable taxes, which will be charged post-campaign in the pledge manager.

Estimated shipping costs at this time can be seen below. Please note that these are only estimates and, as final costs will be determined right before shipping, could fluctuate, potentially significantly.
