Sunday Preview – Enter War Zone Nachmund and Muster the Might of The T’au EmpireWe’re on the cusp of another incredible week of Warhammer. Join us as we take a look through what you’ll be able to pre-order next weekend, from the new T’au Empire releases to a HUGE new player for Blood Bowl. Here are the highlights for the next seven days.
Codex: T’au Empire
Introduce whole civilisations to the glories of the Greater Good, via a crusade of diplomacy or from the barrel of a railgun. Command an advanced empire against the darkness of the galaxy, armed with hope and a hefty dose of high-tech wargear.
The T’au Empire codex includes the rules you need to field your technologically advanced army on the tabletop. It includes a wealth of background lore, stunning artwork, new Crusade rules that let you start your own sphere of expansion, and more.
Those chosen by the Ethereals can show their support for the war effort with this luxurious collectors’ edition featuring a premium soft-touch cover, printed page edges, and a black ribbon page marker.
The maverick Sub-commander Darkstrider – El’Myamoto to his friends – is returning to the battlefield with a stunning new miniature, complete with an adorable cluster of scanning drones.
Hunting his foes with the help of an advanced structural analyser and decades of military experience, he’s the perfect addition to any size of T’au army.
T’au Empire Ethereal
For those in need of spiritual guidance, no amount of elite Pathfinders will suffice to elucidate the philosophies of the Greater Good. When the T’au need metaphysics more than markerlights, they turn to the beloved Ethereals.
This plastic Ethereal is available for the first time outside of the Start Collecting! T’au Empire box. These wise leaders embody the wisdom and unity of the Greater Good and, from atop their lofty hover drones, they invoke the might of the T’au castes to turn the tide of battle.
Combat Patrol: T’au Empire
Form the core of a T’au expeditionary force or amp up your existing collection with this Combat Patrol, which delivers a multi-pronged assault right out of the box.
Lead from the front with a Cadre Fireblade supported by a squad of Fire Warriors, while Stealth Battlesuits and a mighty Ghostkeel Battlesuit use their optic camouflage to flank the enemy, all guided by the wisdom of an Ethereal advisor.
T’au Empire Dice Set
Ensure everyone knows just how much you love the Greater Good with this themed T’au dice set, in the signature colours of the hot-blooded Vior’la Sept.
With the advanced dice-rolling technology of the T’au Empire by your side, you can do away with primitive superstitions such as ‘luck’ – every six you roll is statistically guaranteed to contribute toward the Greater Good. Except on Morale tests.
T’au Empire Datacards
As a young race, the T’au are constantly punching up against some of the Galaxy’s most terrifying inhabitants. Fortunately, they can rely on more than just their incredible tech to bring them victory.
These new datacards will keep your suite of abilities close at hand, giving you an easy way to reference T’au Empire Stratagems and the Invocations of the Ethereals.
War Zone Nachmund: Vigilus Alone
Warhammer 40,000 returns to the war-torn worlds of the Nachmund System for its first season. Packed with new rules and lore, Vigilus Alone is your guide to the most hotly contested patch of the galaxy – and the next chapter in its explosive narrative.
As well as a record of the shadow wars and open conflicts raging across the Nachmund Gauntlet – one of the few safe routes into Imperium Nihilus – this book provides an in-depth campaign system for Imperial and Chaos forces (plus xenos allies of convenience), extra Crusade rules for constructing an Army of Faith, a new Army of Renown for sneaky Space Marines, and a codex supplement for the angriest Adepta Sororitas, the Order of the Bloody Rose.
If you want to go all-in, the collectors’ edition features a soft-touch cover with silver foil blocking, printed page edges, and a Vigilus poster that does double duty as a campaign tracker.
Crusade Mission Pack: Wars of Faith
Take your Crusade games to the next level with Wars of Faith, which contains everything you need to battle for the very soul of the Nachmund System. Prove your piety and earn Belief points by raising your own sacred shrines, toppling the opponent’s houses of heresy, and blasting blasphemers to oblivion.
As well as these new Crusade rules, this book contains 24 new Crusade missions (six each for Combat Patrol-, Incursion-, Strike Force-, and Onslaught-sized games), plus all the requisitions, agendas, and Battle Traits you’ve come to love from Crusade supplements, as well as a table of special upgrades for your priests, who are, as one might expect, extremely useful in a War of Faith.
Space Marine Captain in Gravis Armour
Who better to lead your Crusade across the Nachmund sector than a Space Marine Captain in Gravis Armour? This mighty warrior is highly customisable and entirely lethal.
As well as three separate helmet options, this Gravis-clad Captain can be armed with a master-crafted power sword, a chainsword – ideal for taking the tasty Teeth of Terra Relic – or two power fists (which are better than one). He’s a superhuman for all seasons. OF WAR.
Space Marines Primaris Ancient
What self-respecting Captain would go anywhere without an Ancient to carry the colours of their Chapter into battle? These hardened fighters fly their flags high, empowering nearby allies.
With two different flags and heads to pick from, this new Primaris Ancient can be posed bracing his banner with a bolt rifle slung stylishly over one shoulder or taunting his foes with a casually held power sword. He’s a fantastic centrepiece to a company mustered for war.
Order of the Bloody Rose Dice Set
Excited by Codex Supplement: Order of the Bloody Rose? You should be, because they’re now angrier than ever, and these vivid black and red dice will help you bring the pain.
Honour the memory of Saint Mina by cleansing the battlefield of your foes with some real Miracle dice.
The Spike! Presents 2021 Almanac ties together all of the content from Spike! Journal issues 11-13, giving you the rules for Necromantic Horror, Black Orc, Imperial Nobility, and Khorne teams in your games of fantasy football.
It’s available in hardback and epub formats, and also includes cool rules for playing All-Star games consisting purely of star players, four-player games of Dungeon Bowl, and the biased referee rules first featured in White Dwarf.
