Es gibt neue Bilder zu Eldfall Chronicles und außerdem öffnet morgen noch einmal die Late-Pledge-Option.
We hope you are all doing well.
LATE PLEDGES REOPEN
Due to popular demand, we are opening the pledge manager for all for the final time on 12th of April, 12:00 CEST. If you happened to miss the chance to get a copy of the first edition, or if you are one of the few backers who haven’t yet closed your order, now is the chance for that. The pledge manager will close sometime before we start fulfillment so that the logistics run smoothly. We will later notify you of its closing date. MANUFACTURING & PRODUCTION SAMPLE
In the previous update, we stated that we would be getting the production sample.
Unfortunately, we are still waiting for it, because of a lockdown in Shenzhen. However, it has been produced and we have a teaser to show you! Please have a look at David, our manufacturing partner, who is keeping a close watch on the product quality, and his team, who has been a great joy to work with! We are confident that manufacturing is in good hands! 🙂
Core Rules and Dice
Despite the delay of the sample, the manufacturing is still going according to plan as we did factor in minor delays. Therefore, we do not expect there to be any significant changes to delivery as of yet.
Last but not least, we have a tiny surprise. We have improved the looks of the included scenery!
Many have expressed during the campaign, that the scenery was a bit dull when compared to the miniatures and other components. Of course, we couldn’t help ourselves but try to improve it 🙂
So this is what we did. We have not only improved the visuals of the scenery but also how fun it is to play
rendering of the new scenery
For this first edition, we imagined the scenery of an ancient setting in the Great Desert, the homeland of the Sand Kingdoms. Thus, we tried to make it fit that image more and added extra visual elements that remind us of an abandoned oasis, once home to prosperous temple grounds. The main thing that we felt was missing was the evidence of frequent mana ruptures in those parts. Read about the lore here.
They are aggressive and can be dangerous as they not only tear open the earth but also invite creatures from the void into this realm – a perfect challenge for adventuring. We also thought about making the scenery more fun to play on by making it more versatile and exciting. We tried to show off the interior more by letting the mana crystals break down the walls. We found that the models are easier to move around and the scenery is much more functional. The ruined buildings still have smaller, elevated platforms on which the miniatures can stand and we also added vines and drew cracks on the walls that can now act as “ladders” that the models can use to climb.
All in all, we hope you will enjoy this new, vibrant take on the scenery. We tested it out and it proved to be even more engaging than the last. Let us know your thoughts on the new scenery down below!
