Aeronautica Imperialis: Weitere Eldar
Nach den Startmodellen kommen nun die schwereren Brocken der Eldar ins Spiel.
These Asuryani Aircraft Transport Troops and Rain Down Death with Speed and Style
It’s an amazing time to be a fan of the Aeldari – we revealed the new Eldritch Omens boxed set at Christmas, which features a range of seriously cool new miniatures for Warhammer 40,000 – Aeldari and Chaos Space Marines, in particular – and last week we showed off the forthcoming Guardians kit. If that wasn’t enough, it’s now time to take a look at some new Asuryani aircraft for Aeronautica Imperialis.
Following reports of incoming Necron aircraft, it was only a matter of time before their oldest foes sent reinforcements into the area of engagement. First up is the Vampire Raider – this is the largest Asuryani atmospheric craft yet encountered by the Imperium, but its speed and agility belie its size.
Armed with twin-linked shuriken cannons and a nose-mounted scatter laser as standard, it can put out an impressive 17 shots at close range, all while carrying its load of jump troops to their drop site.
Also approaching at speed is the Vampire Hunter, which replaces the Raider’s troop compartment with phoenix missile launchers, meaning it’s the ideal heavy ground attack bomber. It’s also armed with a twin-linked pulsar instead of the shuriken cannon, making it absolutely deadly at long range.*
The Vampire Hunter excels at taking out the most heavily armed ground targets, from titans to bunkers. They add an extra tactical option into your squadrons, letting you perform hit-and-run attacks before the enemy even realises what’s happening.**
The Vampire Hunter and Vampire Raider will be available soon from Forge World – grab some Nightwings now so that you’re ready to escort them into battle. Then, join us later today for the next Path of the Preview article, which will be showing off a new Aeldari kit for Warhammer 40,000, and sign up for our newsletter so that you never miss a miniature reveal.
* And even deadlier at medium range too when it unleashes all of its firepower.
