What You Need To Play
In addition to this rulebook, each player will need an Esper Deck and cadre of approximately 4-10 Relic Knights miniatures. Each miniature is represented by a unit card which you may download and print for free.
Außerdem gibt es noch diverse Kartendecks für die einzelnen Fraktionen. Diese umfassen jeweils rund 20 Karten (die Bilder zeigen nur Beispiele):

Also der Preis ist in keiner Weise für ein Starterset attraktiv. Ich kenne jetzt natürlich nicht die einzelnen Figurenpreise aber ohne weiteres Zubehör so viel Geld?
Irgendjemand muss das Geld wieder gutmachen das während den ganzen Kickstarterkampagnen verschwunden ist oder zu wenig berechnet wurde. Und immerhin sind die Minis aus Resin und kosten auch einzeln eine Menge.
Totgeglaubte leben länger. Schön, dass sich da etwas tut. Ein gutes Zeichen, dass die Starterbox veröffentlicht wird. Vielleicht wird das ja doch noch etwas mit der zweiten Edition bon Super Dungeon Explore… irgendwann in den nächsten 10 Jahren.
Im Kickstarter war der Preis ungefähr mit 70$ angesetzt.
Finde es auch etwas teuer. Aber Soda Pop war wohl gezwungen diesen höher anzusetzen, um ihre Verbindlichkeiten aus den Kickstarter zu decken und ihr Geschäft weiter zu betreiben.
Als Backer des Kickstarters hoffe ich auf Kunden und dass ich irgendwann meinen Pledge weider reinbekomme. Sie scheinen sich zu bemühen, dass Geschäft zu retten.
Ab und zu frage ich mich, warum sie ihre alten Metall Minis nicht wieder rausbrngen. Bestimmte Modelle aus der Anfangszeit waren doch ganz beliebt.
Mir geht es da ähnlich. Ich finde das Starterset für einen Starter aber auch ganz schön teuer.
Damit spielt es so preislich in der Region, in der auch das Legends of Signum Starterset ist, das aber 22 Resin Minis hat. Das ist schon eine ganz schön hohe Einstiegshürde. Dazu kommt dass es halt im Verglich zu der Legends of Signum Box auch wirklich ein Starterset ist und nicht zwei Listen für eine volle Spielgröße. Mit den knapp 30 Punkten kann man zwar bei Relic Knights schon wirklich Spaß haben und wegen der dynamischen Spielweise wahrscheinlich mehr Spiele spielen als bei anderen kleinen Startersets.
Wenn die Pre-Order endet, werde Ich mir aber mal eine der neuen Relic Knights Minis bestellen. Dann soll ja angeblich alles mit kommen, was von meinem Pledge schon da ist. Da bin Ich mal gespannt. Die Gußqualität der Resin Minis für Super Dungeon Explore war ja doch schon sehr gut.
Neben dem Preis besteht halt auch noch das Problem, dass die Sculpts teilweise unterirdisch sind und mit den Artworks nicht mehr viel gemein haben.
Sie haben über die letzten Jahre offensichtlich aus wenigen teuren Resin-Editionen ihrer Minis viel Geld rausgeholt, um überhaupt an diesen Punkt zu kommen – Respekt für die Beharrlichkeit, da drangeblieben zu sein – aber hier geht es nicht um Sammler und Maler, sondern die Feld-, Wald- und Wiesenspieler, und da finde ich die Kalkulation… optimistisch.
Der Stil gefällt mir schon echt gut, auch wenn in meinem Bekanntenkreis kein anderer Miniaturen- und gleichzeitig Animefan ist und ich somit wohl keine Mitspieler hätte 😀
Aber der Preis ist schon echt happig und dazu kommt, dass man die Minis in dem Stil ja kaum irgendwo passend wiederverwenden kann (Rollenspiel, SAGA o.ä. oder als Proxy für andere Systeme).
Überhaupt nicht mein Fall aber ich drücke allen denen die Sachen gefallen mal die Daumen fürs Projekt.
