Limbo: Eternal War 1.5
A skirmish miniatures game where each player will take control of a small army, fighting a battle as part of a larger war.
As a powerful Lord you must lead your army into battle. Choose from the Forces of Light: Noble, Staunch and guided by a code of honor or the Demonic forces of Darkness driven by chaos and destruction.
Who will emerge victorious in this Eternal War?
Choose your battleground and build your army from a multitude of Heroes and Soldiers in order to become the greatest general in this Eternal War.
Limbo is a Skirmish Game, two sides that face off in battle
Players move miniatures, play cards, take damage, heal, until the objective is achieved (usually by defeating your opponents lord, but other choices exist)
Players have an army that consists of a Lord, one or many Heroes and some or many Troop Miniatures, each have their role, mastery of this role is your challenge.
For your first game, you’ll take out the recommended miniatures & cards, place them on the board, and following the instructions, you can start playing.
Initiative determines who goes first each round, and to obtain it, you need to bid, or bluff, your fate crystals. Going first can be a decisive position, but it will cost you the ability to use fate cards.
Fate cards are powerful abilities that can be used by your units, against other units, but be careful, they cost fate crystals. When you spend fate crystals, you pass them to your opponent for the next round, so be careful, overspending will allow your opponent to have the upper hand.
Units will move and act, or move twice. It’s up to you to strategize your movement, your powers, and your abilities, to gain the upper hand over your opponent.
Many units interact with other units, in a myriad of ways, triggering combos, or clever flows of play, not unlike Dominion or Magic the gathering, building up an array of triggers to enact amazing battles.
Once you have achieved the objective, often by defeating the lord, you are done. But not completely.
The Armies and Fate decks are customizable, you have points to ‘buy’ an army of a given size and force, you have strategies to change the fate cards in your deck, to trigger different powers, be they combat moves, spells, sneak attacks or healing. Your first battle was only the beginning of an Eternal War!
Limbo: Eternal War provides high quality miniatures. All models are made from a combination of PVC and ABS parts in order to bring out the best details possible. All game models other than the lords come pre assembled. The Lord models have minimal parts that need to be assembled. (Production of our models is handled by Starry Games)
Saga of Noadin Box
As survivors of Swader fled across the mountains of Noadin they came across others who helped spread news of the Demonic invasion. This would spur the Four Great Clans of Noadin to gather as one in order to protect their land.
Joined under the Ice Queen Yasa and her control of a powerful ice golem, the Noadins now rally as the forces of Darkness approach them.
The upgrade kit is for previous backers of the Core Game that would like to have the updated boards, rules, cards, tokens and new Core Game Miniatures.
We also wanted to give all backers a chance to grab some new Heroes for each force. Below you will find the add-on boxes for the Heroes. You can also purchase the new models for the Angels apart from the full bundle.
To give you a scale of the sizes.. Left are the Knights at 40mm, Right is Wrath at 200mm

With Limbo Eternal War 1.5 we wanted to make the game easier to play while also keeping the original themes we wanted. With that our gameplay designer began to revamp everything! We also took some feedback from the community on what we could change to make the game better!
The newest version of the rulebook will contain a brand new layout that will help make playing Limbo: Eternal War easier. There will also be an included index and glossary. We have also gone through the rules and added additional explanations to certain actions to make them easier to understand.
SRD Limbo Rules will be available very soon, cleaning up spelling mistakes and fixes based on discussions in discord, come join us!
We wanted to update the unit cards by adding a much better graphic than the previous versions. Now all units will come with full-color images.

A.) The Lord Panel
We decided to add this panel as a way to control your powerful lords. Instead of a regular unit card like before we wanted you to be able to customize your lord to fit your preferences. Now, before the match begins, you will choose your Lord as well as the Special Skills you wish to equip on them.
You can also track the Lord’s health as well as any accumulated Victory Points on it.
Lord will have a set of skill cards that they can choose at the beginning of the battle.
The board can also display the HP and VP.
As always, all art and displays are a work in progress, but we’re pretty close with this.
B) Red Crystal
As the Fate Crystals are used by almost all beings to cast magic or other special attacks we wanted to add another feature to them. Now we have colored crystals that can actually make an impact on strategies.
You will be assigned Blue for the Forces of Light and Red for the Forces of Darkness. Steal your opponents crystals to keep them from using abilities but be careful! Fate cost are doubled if you use an opponents Fate Crystal as if it were your own.
In the previous version of Limbo: Eternal War all characters could move diagonally if they wanted to. This made the maps feel even smaller than they were due to the fast traversal. To remedy this we will change this movement to where a Unit with the „Nimble“ keyword is the only kind of unit that can move diagonally. All other characters must move in Linear paths.
D) Terrain Tokens
Instead of the Dungeons, which will remain in the future scope, we decided to make terrain far more obvious and playable, as such we have plans to include several terrain boards that can be placed over the main map. Further to that, the boards will have rules printed on their reverse, for quick rule checks.
E) Other changes
Balance adjustments are being done with a dynamic combat calculator, to determine if any given unit might be a tad ‚Over Powered‘ , we run each unit against each other in batlle 10,000 times to find an average, this way, all new Noadin units will have extensive testing to ensure a modicum of balance.. I mean, they are vikings, so obviously they’re better 😉
