We have just released our latest 15mm ancients range, the Ritsuryo Japanese:
This was the final pre-Samurai period, and a time of extreme codification, Confucianism at its height. Their tactics are often interpreted by modern historians as regiments of protected archers with pavises and spearmen, and they had lots of artillery supporting the foot. Quite a striking contrast from the Samurai who would come later! Available now.
