The Dacians were a Warlike people living in and around the Carpathian mountains. The Greeks called them the Getae.The main Dacian warrior type was armed with a spear and shield and maybe a sword or knife. They also used quite a lot of archers but the main weapon feared by the Romans was the dreaded Falx. A two handed scythe type weapon, capable of taking off a mans arm in one blow or piecing the top of helmets as it came down over the Roman shield. The Dacians were very good craftsman and metal smiths and so nobles would wear armour of mail or scales and elaborate helmets. Quite a bit of captured Roman equipment would be used also.

Mir würden die Victrix-Miniaturen viel besser gefallen, wenn nicht jedes Kleidungsstück diesen exzessiven Faltenwurf hätte. In dem Maßstab schaut das imho nicht gut aus und ich möchte mich beim Bemalen auch nicht zu Tode akzentuieren.
Mir gefallen die Figuren richtig gut! Victrix macht einen tollen Job!
Starker Faltenwurf an den Firguren macht es ein wenig einfacher Wasches zu benutzen. Die werden von den Falten gut aufgenommen. Das ist dankbar, wenn man viele Figuren bemalen will.
Klar, für’s Bemalen mit Washes oder Contrastfarben sind die Miniaturen prima, aber mein Auge bleibt bei den Bildern oben einfach an den vielen harschen Schatten hängen. Das andere Extrem sind für mich die Minis von Footsore, bei deren Schlaucharmen ich beim Malen oft fluche. Ich hätte gern etwas dazwischen, weiche Faltenwürfe, aber nicht zuviele davon.
