Warzone: Neue Unit Spotlights
Es gibt mal wieder Infos zu zwei Warzone Einheiten!
In the Lore:
Originating from a planet recently conquered by Alakhai himself, the animal that has been mutated into the necrobeast is an evil, malign and fast moving construct ridden by the largest and most cunning of the necromutants; the Centurions.
The Necrobeasts have been biogenetically reconstructed into dark creatures like nothing ever known by mankind; when a Necrobeast moves, it does so with an unsettling agility. The pinnacle of necromutation, every muscle is utilized to its maximum potential. Every aspect of their physical form has been manufactured for the sole purpose of war and dealing a merciless and brutal death. This alien monstrosity can taste a prey’s blood in the air from several miles away, making it a remarkable tracker. Its jaws are filled with rows upon rows of serrated teeth, which continually fall out and are organically replaced with new growths, ensuring they are always razor sharp. Two small black eyes reflect an intelligence which, like their master’s, is cruel and cunning with a penchant for merciless slaughter. Beyond the Citadels and upon the battlefield the beasts are frequently ridden to war by Centurions, the most elite of all human-based Necromutants. The Necrobeast’s malign intelligence recognizes and respects the Centurion’s superiority in all that is dark and consents to becoming a steed.
On the Tabletop:
The Necrobeast Rider may look like a monster but don’t let that fool you it is a very resilient fusion of Necrotechnology and monster that counts as a light vehicle in Warzone Resurrection. It is also one of very few vehicles with 4 action points which means it moves fast across the battlefield.
It is a vehicle that excels at close combat, with a strength of 14 and a rate of attack 4 it makes short work of most close combat opponents. Due to the Passive: Necrotic Enzymes special skill no heal rolls may be made against its attacks. You may also Turn to Burn a resource card to activate its Acidic Saliva special skill boosting its AVV up to 4.
It does have a limited shooting capability with the Headshot special skill making all natural 1’s critical force 2.
Its Passive: Beast special skill allows it to ignore the (bike) movement penalties for light and heavy terrain and allows it a free 3 inch jump as well, handy for crossing gaps or obstacles.
In the Lore:
Piloted by the best of the maimed from the Brotherhood. Judicator suits enable the critically wounded and bisected to continue to show the Legion and its agents the errors of the Dark and the sancity of the Light.
When the Brotherhood goes to war, it does so with a destructive and zealous passion, driven by the word of the Cardinal and all of those that preceded him. The ravages of war do not always take the lives of these indomitable soldiers, for a few still draw breath, though many among these scarce few are encumbered by devastating wounds which render them unable to re-enter the battlefield. This fact alone is enough to enrage the fervent champions of The Brotherhood. It is from these veterans of the Warzones that the Judicators are assembled.
On the Tabletop:
The Judicator is an excellent light vehicle to support your Brotherhood forces. It can be ran as a shooting platform or balanced platform with good shooting and close combat abilities.
Its AC-100 cannons have a rate of fire of 5 for each cannon on the model. Its range may be increased by lowering the weapons strength, which can be handy against soft targets.
The Retaliator Broadsword is a solid close combat weapon with a strength of 14, rate of attack of 2 and anti vehicle value of 4. You may further increase its rate of attack to 4 by turning to burn a resource card. All wounds caused by the Retaliator cause stun effects on the target model which can be brutal.
Its Active: Thunderous Advance Special rule reduces all enemy Ranged skills by -4 within 8 inches of the Judicator if you turn to burn a single resource card.
