Suburban Neighbourhood expansion WIP!
Hey everyone!
Since you all seemed to enjoy the last update , the goal this month was to design more pieces that really help you fill your suburban gaming board.
What’s coming in this set?
This release will include:
- Two houses
- One standalone garage
- Covered furniture models for interior details
House #1
The first house comes with an optional foundation/ riser that allows you to add an optional front and back porch.
Of course, you can skip the porches entirely if you prefer, or print both versions for extra variety on your table.Right now, I’m working on an optional second floor, giving you even more flexibility and vertical gameplay options.
As always, the interior walls are fully modular, so you can customize the layout to fit your scenario.
House #2
The second house is designed to help you really fill out the neighbourhood.
For this one, I created a new, larger window design and some interesting new floor textures to add more visual variety and storytelling potential. Abandoned Ganster hacienda or a normal family house?
Standalone Garage
The garage is currently still unpainted, but it has an option to display the garage door open or closed. It’s a fantastic addition for adding more cover and tactical depth to your game setups.
Covered Furniture Models
On top of that, the release will also include covered furniture pieces, that you can already see in the pictures.
Perfect for quickly adding interior detail to every house without a hughe time invest.
They’re designed to be easy to print and easy to paint, so you can populate your buildings without adding extra hobby stress. Just a few simple paint steps and you’ll have some interior details and cover in no time.
With this full Buildings set, you’ll be able to build a really cool suburban scenario without complicated setup or over-the-top assembly.
Painting & Tutorial
Once I finish painting the garage, I’ll also create a small tutorial showing how I texture and weather the walls in a super easy way.
And here’s a little extra info for you:
I painted all the houses using only spray cans and very rough/big brushes, no fancy techniques, no airbrush. So the tutorial will definitely be something everyone can follow and recreate.
Timeline
- This weekend: Finish designing everything
- Next week: Complete painting and finalize the miniature release
- End of next week: Final preview update for you all
