MARCH: THE DEFENSE OF THE WEST AND IRON CONTRACTS
With all cards on the table, March shapes up to be a month of contrasts. We wanted to explore two faces of war: the desperate discipline of the Late Legions trying to hold an empire together, and the dirty pragmatism of mercenaries and hunters operating where the law doesn’t reach.
Here is the final breakdown of what is entering your libraries.
⚔️ THE ADVENTURER: THE WRATH OF AETIUS
This month in history, we aren’t just seeking to add troops, but to add context. We want your armies to tell the story of Rome’s survival.
Aetius and Theodoric (HQ) More than a command set, this is a political vignette. It represents the tension of a forced alliance between the last great Roman and the Visigoth king. We designed these miniatures to function as the narrative center of gravity for your collection: they aren’t just generals shouting orders; they are the architects of the Catalaunian Plains. They bring the gravity and hierarchy that every great army needs presiding over the table.
Comitatenses with Spear (The Line) If skirmishers are the movement, these are the wall. They are the baseline reference needed for the army to have mass and visual coherence. We sought poses that, while disciplined and closed-rank, aren’t robotic, allowing you to create dense phalanxes of spearmen that truly intimidate the opponent with their solidity.
Comitatenses with Plumbata (The Kinetic) The goal here is to break the „static“ nature of formations. A historical regiment often sins of looking like a concrete block; with these miniatures throwing plumbata, we introduce kinetic energy. Mixing them with your spear ranks creates a unit that isn’t just „posing,“ but fighting. It creates the visual texture of the moment before the clash.
Limitanei with Plumbata (The Frontier) The same dynamic philosophy, but with a different face of the army. These are the garrison troops, with lighter, practical gear, designed to integrate with a rougher visual language. If you like building lines with layers of depth (veterans in the center, border troops on the flanks), this set gives you the tools to make that mix look natural and organic.
Villa’s Gardens (Scenery) In a wargame, peace is the best contrast. These pieces aren’t just cover; they are the narrative of what is being protected. Classical statues and fountains representing civilization, ideal for creating scenarios where the fight feels like the desecration of a sacred, ordered space.
🔱 THE BANNERMAN: SWORDS FOR HIRE
In fantasy, we move away from „fireball magic“ to focus on characters with a trade. People who work killing, collecting, or praying to old gods.
Avernia Wolf Priest (Leader) The wild counterpart to order. This character isn’t a tower wizard; he is a clan leader with tribal authority. His mounted design, wrapped in furs and heavy barding, seeks to project power and ancient religion. He is the perfect piece to thematically anchor a northern army, bringing mysticism and a touch of reverential dread that balances the steel of the troops.
Witch Hunter (Specialist) A shift in style. While our Purifiers follow the path of the mutated „witcher,“ this model returns to the classic archetype. He is a normal human facing the supernatural with nothing but steel, stakes, and vials. He is the stoic, grounded figure needed to lead your warbands, representing the technical professional who hunts monsters through skill and preparation, not dark powers.
High Kingdom Standard Bearer (Support) The visual reference point. Amidst the chaos of melee, you need something that says „the line is here.“ This foot standard bearer is designed to be the anchor of your infantry regiments, bringing nobility and a clear focal point around which to organize the defense.
Varn’s Claws (Regiment) A story of fall and rebirth. Varn, a former Knight of the Ducal Guard of Avernia, leads this company from exile. Maintaining the aesthetic of the Panther—the totemic animal of his former order, seen on helms and shoulders—these pikemen combine the discipline of the ducal elite with the reality of the mercenary. The set includes the Paymaster counting gold, symbolizing that while they dress like knights, their loyalty is now for rent.
Black Coats (Skirmish) The tool for urban narrative. These aren’t open-field soldiers; they are the threat in the alleyway. With their cloaks and daggers, they are designed for warband scenarios or RPGs, where atmosphere and attitude count more than heavy armor. They are the „left hand“ of any noble house for solving problems discretely.
Birdmen (Skirmishers) We listened to your feedback. This re-issue maintains the Renaissance engineering aesthetic but solves the big issue with flying units: fragility. They are sturdier and more functional, designed to be played with and transported without fear of breakage, while keeping that unique verticality they bring to Tiberium armies.
THE FINAL DEPLOYMENT
Whether you march under the Eagle to hold the last wall of civilization, or your loyalty belongs to the highest bidder in the shadows of Tiberium, ready your printers. The battle begins soon.
