March Release 1: Gravefront Ghoul Commando

Heya Trenchers!

The unliving legion marches forwards, and it is time for the last set for my Gravefront Ghouls range to be released: Commando! This wraps up my whole „Gravefront Ghoul“ faction for now! I might at some point in the future release special characters, mercenaries and other special stuff, but now you can enjoy wielding the full unliving force of these baddies!

The Gravefront Ghoul Commando set is a mix of few monoposed-ready made Commandos (wielding Assault Blades), and also has another pose which works semi-modular (you can swap out the arms).

Check end of the post for updates on monthly schedules. Voting for themes is currently on pause until I’ve caught up with the schedule. When we get back to Cult of the Pale Leech (next month or after) we will jump back into monthly votes. 🙂

The set includes the following:

Bodies:

– 2x screaming-pose Gravefront Ghoul Commando (Armed with „Tartarus“ Assault Blades) – Metal-mask + Gasmask variant

– 2x Assault-Pose Gravefront Ghoul Body (semi-modular, Metal-Mask + Gasmask variant)

Weapon/arm options:

– „Tartarus“ Assault Claw (left + right)

– Silenced Pistol (left + right)

– Empty Arm (right)

– Sacrificial Blade (right, underhand grip)

– Sacrificial Blade (right, overhand grip)

– Trench Shield (left)

Other:

– 3x „Chain-hook“ (slot to the backside of the Battlekit on the Ghouls back)

– 4x ready-assembled Commandos (check the renders)

– Empty Shield

– 32mm Base

What is next in March?

I will now start working on the collaboration set(s) that were meant to be released last month. This is the collab I had with Blood & Benediction + Trench Foot Society Podcast. The set will be a some sort of Radio Tower and Relay Stations Set(s)! 🙂

After those 2 terrain releases I plan remake the Warlock set. This is a bit up in the air, as my arm is starting to show again signs of „non-cooperation“ unfortunately (I’ve mentioned earlier, but if you are new: I have some pinched nerves on my right arm nerve route which tend to act up due to me working a bit too much). But we will see how this goes, I want to get this reworked as soon as possible but I need to get the collab stuff first due to scheduling. 🙂

March Release 2-3: Radio Tower and Radio Relay Station (+ update about schedule & plans)

Heya Trenchers!

I just finished Radio Tower and Radio Relay Station terrain pieces! Yay! Check the end of the post for schedule etc. updates:

These are now shared to everyone with an active subscription on Tribes and Patreon.

The Radio Tower is quite a tall terrain piece! But it can actually be printed a bit shorter by leaving some of the mid-sections out. The Radio Tower also has playable interior with full interior detailing for some cool additional story telling! I’m especially proud of the medieval castle style wall-toilet! I printed the whole set support-free on my FDM printer (Bambu A1) without any troubles.

I oriented the pieces of the set so they should be in correct orientation when you load them into your slicer. I recommend raft for the smallest pieces to ensure they don’t get pushed off from the print plate if you have troubles with adhesion. Larger pieces should be fine if you have a heated print bed.

The Radio Tower has quite much customization options, as you can mix-match pieces and leave out some details, or add some details if you so wish! It has multiple different types of speakers, battery pack, etc. you can use to decorate the tower.

I also 100% recommend adding some „wiring“ to the tower! I didn’t sculpt these details into the tower itself, as small wire-style prints tend to be easy to break and might not look as good as just using some real and cheap electrical wire from scavenged old electric equipment. 🙂

The Radio Relay station is a small scatter terrain and objective piece! This actually goes well together with the Radio Station terrain piece, and you can even print it out and slap it onto the top of the Radio Tower if you wish so.

The Radio Relay Station can be also resin printed. I hollowed it out and provided a pre-supported version of it. I also test printed this one, but only on FDM. I managed to get it out without using any supports, but I would advice to use some small supports on the lower part of the antenna / array if you have slower print settings as there is a bit of tricky overhang there that not all printers might not be able to handle without any supports.

What happens next (March/April)?

I will next start working on the new Warlock redesign. This will be available to everyone who has bought the old design and also for everyone who is subscribed during the month it’ll get released. The release might get pushed into the beginning of April, as I’m not yet sure how long the rework will take. I want to ensure I won’t get any additional heat from FF so I might have to do the whole thing from ground-up.
