Special Figure: Alongside the book comes the ‘Desert Lightning’ special book figure, representing a tough-as-nails paratrooper fighting in the Western Desert campaign. With two optional sets of arms brandishing a variety of improvised anti-tank weapons, he’s the perfect accompaniment to any Italian force.

Some of the very best troops available to Italian commanders were the Paracadutisti – the airborne forces of the Regio Esercito.

This box contains 30 infantry models in M41 paratrooper uniforms, allowing you to build a huge variety of Paracadutisti infantry units and weapons teams. On each sprue you’ll find a host of weaponry, from the ubiquitous short Carcano rifle to the much-loved Beretta Model 38 submachine gun and unique Lanciafiamme 41 d’assalto compact flamethrower. There’s also a plethora of additional equipment, including improvised anti-tank grenades and the iconic paratrooper webbing and vests.

As if that wasn’t enough, there’s also a full set of extra heads in berets, allowing you to build the fearsome X Arditi special forces troops!

The product of the same training as their men, Paracadutisti officers led from the front, providing much-needed leadership in combat. This set contains Platoon Commanders for Rifle, Recce, Heavy Weapons, and Artillery Platoons – but you can use them for any part of your Paracadutisti force in need of leadership!

As some of the best troops available to Italian commanders, the Paracadutisti could call upon plenty of supporting firepower in the form of machine guns and mortars, using them to good effect. In this set you get a pair of Breda M37 machine guns set up on tripods to act as medium machine gun teams, and a medium mortar to rain high explosives down on your enemies‘ heads. Also included is an officer to command the weapons teams, making the contents of this box a game-ready Heavy Weapons Platoon in Bolt Action!

As paratroopers, Paracadutisti officers went through the same rigorous training as their men, and were often accompanied by specialists onto the battlefield. This set contains an officer, medic, NCO, and radio operator, perfect for representing a wide variety of HQ and other units on the battlefield.

This set gives you everything you need to field a mighty force of Italian Paracadutisti in games of Bolt Action! At its heart sits 42 plastic paratroopers, enabling you to build a Rifle Platoon full of tough-as-nails veterans, as well as Platoon Commanders to lead them. Providing fire support is a Heavy Weapons Platoon composed of two Medium Machine Gun teams and a Medium Mortar, while an Armoured Platoon of an AB 41 armoured car and Semovente assault gun – which can also be assembled as an M13/40 Carro Armato light tank – supplies a mechanised punch.
