Cheworc the Orc Pioneer new for Flintloque

A new release for the World of Valon. A tribute. A new miniature on a very limited run to honour one of the first fans of Flintloque all the way back in the 1990’s. A man who even dressed as an Orc to make an appearance in a 1998 Orcs in the Hills magazine. We present Brian ‘Chewie’ Keeling as that very Albion Orc. May he rest well and we all miss him greatly.

VLE18 Cheworc Pioneer: This code is a 28mm scale metal miniature in one piece supplied with a resin base. A very limited edition of 250 numbered packs only after which the mold will be destroyed as with all of out limited editions. A collectors piece for fans which is fun but not vital to the play of the game on table. It has special rules for Flintloque and Slaughterloo and should be placed into a 54503 Orc Line or 54509 Orc Grenadier section of unit from those codes for example.

Here are the original images of Chewie in costume from the page of ‘Parade Ground’ in June 1998 Orcs in the Hills magazine number 10 (we still have some copies of these if you wish to ask about them please make contact). As far as we know he was one of the few actual Albion Orcs commanded by Wheeling-Turn to take to the field!

Rules for Flintloque: Using 5025 War in Catalucia create an Orc, Veteran, Regular armed with an Axe. He also has a special ability in which he is constantly smoking a long pipe which obscures him in a cloud of grey smoke. All ranged fire directed at Cheworc suffers a -10% to hit additional modifier. Costs 56 points.

Rules for Slaughterloo: Using 5030 Slaughterloo this miniature is added into any Albion Orc unit of Line (including Grenadiers but not Light Infantry) at the rate of one per army. It takes the place of one normal infantry Orc in the front rank. It may be killed as normal but when that unit engages in close combat (melee) it may re-roll one result dice of a failed attack once per game (keep note) if the miniature is still in the ranks. Costs 10 Points.
