Greetings Friends!

The leaves are turning orange, nights are growing longer, and a chill whispers through the air, heralding the arrival of something wicked. This month, we invite you to gather by the hearth, where shadows dance against the firelight, and share with you a taste of the old folklore from our neck of the woods.

We are venturing deep into Slavic myth and legend, a realm where witches soar in mortars, guardians watch silently from the corners of humble homes, and spirits walk freely when the night grows cold. Among these tales you will meet the fearsome Baba Yaga, whose cunning is matched only by her appetite for mischief, and the hauntingly beautiful Swan Princess, whose song can enchant or doom the unwary. You may catch a glimpse of the mighty Viy, whose dreadful gaze can freeze the bravest of hearts.

But the stories do not end there. Lurking in quiet homes, the Domovois keep a watchful eye, sometimes playful, sometimes vengeful, rewarding those who honor the hearth and punishing those who do not. And high above, the Sirins sing their otherworldly melodies, captivating travelers with a beauty that is as dangerous as it is irresistible.

So, take a seat, friend. The Tavern has many stories to tell this month, but beware, not all of them end with a happily ever after. Let us dive in together this month and witness The Spirits of Slavic Myth!
