Dearest faithful (and the faithless who wandered in by accident),

The first issue of Washed Ashore has finally crawled out of the surf! This zine has been months in the making, stitched together from barnacles, late-night ramblings, and more tea than is probably healthy.

I couldn’t have done it without you. The community threw me ropes whenever I was sinking, sending in eerie miniatures, whole articles, and photographs that made the pages come alive. Truly, you’ve all proven that the Leviathan provides!

A special shout to our cover artist, Gabriel Pissondes (aka Sceptik le Sloucheur), whose illustration was then colourised by Simon “4ydra” Schnitzler. The result is exactly the kind of image you wouldn’t want staring at you from the foot of your bed at 3 am (maybe, we don’t judge 👀). It sets the tone perfectly: haunting, a bit majestic, but it gets more and more blood-curdling the longer you look at it!

Inside, you’ll find a mixture of cult lore, eldritch art, hobby tutorials, community spotlights, and rules to keep your gaming table briny and strange. It’s a little like an old Dragon Magazine, White Dward and 28mag had a baby who wandered off, got lost at sea, and came back „barnacled“ head to toe. Hope you’ll like it!
