Warmachine: Scars, secrets, and seafarers
This week in Warmachine we’re shaping the sands with not one but two brand new Command Starters hitting the shore — and that’s just the beginning. From a haunting new lore chapter to a brass-clad legend reborn in MiniCrate, so if you’re an eldritch enjoyer, a sea-scallywag, or sea-raider you’ll definitely want to see what’s in-store today.
Today’s TL;DR
- Khymaera Shard Nocturnes & Foulbloods Armada Command Starters release July 24 — get ready for stealth missions and savage sea plundering
- New lore interstitial: Weakness — now live in the Warmachine app, Weakness follows Scyrafael, Nis-Issyr of Desolation, and the harrowing fate of Merin.
- Exulon Nostilla & The Aberration — free with annual app subscription; claim your code in-app
- Old Umbrey Core Expansion — pre-orders are open – with an important update to the UK release date.
- MiniCrate: Kishtaar the Conqueror — a brass-faced blast from Orgoth’s ancient past.
A legend reborn: MiniCrate’s Kishtaar the Conqueror
Warmachine: Kishtaar The Conqueror MiniCrateAugust’s MiniCrate exclusive is a vision from a darker age. Introducing Kishtaar the Conqueror — an alternate sculpt of Kishtaar, the Howling Silence.
But this isn’t the calculating raider we know. This is the ancient warlord, the original Orgoth conqueror from a thousand years ago, returned in a form that drips menace and majesty.
Her look is a nod to the earliest Orgoth legends: brass faces leering from her armour, twin horns twisting from her helm, and a mane of hair weighted with metal beads and rings. Kishtaar is adorned like a true Orgoth warlord through and through.
This is a limited-edition model, and one every Orgoth collector will want in their ranks. And if you’ve got the Orgoth Sea Raiders Battlegroup Box, she’s a killer sculpt to show off amongst your Tyrant & Jackal warjacks.
Raid the shores in style, Subscribe to MiniCrate between July 28 – August 28 to claim the lands in the name of Kishtaar.
Psychic control. Monstrous power. Claim yours today.
Warmachine: Annual App Subscription FREE Exulon Nostilla & Aberration modelsExciting news! Not only are the subscriber codes to redeem Exulon Nostilla and the Aberration now available, but you can get them directly in the app!
As part of improving your app experience and increasing what the app can do for you, we’ve been working behind the scenes on new functionality that lets you receive codes right in the app. If you’re an annual subscriber, here’s how to get your code and claim your free models:
- Open the Warmachine App on the platform where you subscribed (Android or iOS)
- Tap the three lines in the top right to open the hamburger menu
- Select “Claim Annual Subscriber Gift”
- Copy the code provided
- Head to the Steamforged store
- Add Exulon Nostilla & The Aberration to your basket
- At checkout, paste your code into the discount box
- Fill in your details, check everything’s correct — and you’re done!
This is a new feature, so although it’s been tested, there are thousands of you and less of us — so if you spot any bugs, please let us know. Otherwise, we’re super excited to be rolling out features like these (however small!) that help the app function as an even more useful tool for our community.
Not subscribed? You can still buy the model outright — but since it’s the same price as an annual app sub, most commanders are grabbing the subscription and getting the model, plus a rich lore library and unlimited list building, all in one tidy package.

Scyrafael stands alone: ‘Weakness’ now available in the app
Warmachine: Scyrafael Nis-Issyr of DesolationThis week’s new lore entry, ‘Weakness’, is a must-read — read the full story now with a warmachine app subscription
Set against the backdrop of the doomed Ordic capital of Merin, the story follows Scyrafael, Nis-Issyr of Desolation, as she walks among the dying. In the face of Orgoth annihilation, she reflects on fear — not her own, but that of the mortals around her.
“Ord had proven to be a miserable place. Neither wretched nor despicable, it contained little to inspire much emotion in Scyrafael, good or bad. Instead, Ord was simply bland. Its anonymous forests and empty marshes held none of the majesty or beauty she’d found elsewhere in the world. Even the elements themselves were muted beneath a perpetual shroud of fog that lingered in this region.
In Ios, Scyrafael had grown used to the sun that caressed the northern mountains at dawn—and then in its absence, the heart-wrenching nothingness that descended across the bleak eastern wastes during the dead of night, a phenomenon Scrafael had found both disturbing and liberating in equal measure. She had felt echoes of both wherever she had travelled these last years.
Not here.
In many ways, Scyrafael had reflected over the last handful of days, the fate of such a drab and apparently meaningless land meant very little. There were no natural resources in Ord to fuel the Orgoth war machine. No strategically advantageous locations when the Orgoth already held dominion over the coastline and could strike at will, and already occupied large stretches of Khadoran land.
Still, the humans fought to protect Ord. And for all that their motivation had once seemed so alien to her, in time Scyrafael had come to appreciate why.”
Scyrafael’s model is just as commanding as her presence in the lore. Wreathed in void energy and armed with elegance and precision, she’s an incredible centrepiece with a flurry of blades at her disposal.
Shard Nocturnes and Foulbloods Armada Command Starter land ashore
July 24 (this Thursday!) sees the arrival of two forces that couldn’t be more different, but are both devastating in their own right. The Shard Nocturnes and Foulbloods Armada Command Starters are now available to set loose on a campaign of chaos and subterfuge.
These breakout boxes from Shadows & Scum give you fully playable 30-point forces straight out of the box. From the precision and stealth of Vallyx’s elite strike team to the explosive, rum-fuelled havoc of Commodore Foulblood’s pirate crew, each set is packed with personality and tactical flavour — perfect for jumping into Khymaera or Brineblood Marauders.
The motherland remembers: Old Umbrey Core Expansion pre-orders open
The Old Umbrey Core Expansion went live for pre-order last week — a powerful force steeped in Khadoran mysticism, primal savagery, and the fierce loyalty of the Yhari-Umbreans..
If you’re in the UK, take note: the release date will be one week later than EU and US due to hub-to-hub transit time. That means:
- Everywhere except UK – Release date: 28th August
- UK release – Date: 4th September
Old Umbrey is a wild ride, and not just for its forest-dwelling ferals and beast-wielding warlocks. This expansion brings a whole new playstyle to Khador — less metal, more magic and mauling. If you’re curious, Bohdan Lesnoi and Kapitan Galina Lissya the Winter Fox of the Battlegroup Box are standout Umbrean warcasters.
Let us know what you’re most excited for this week — and don’t forget to share your latest games, armies, and paint jobs with us in the Discord!

Bin gespannt ob sie wirklich was zu den Menithen sagen..weil es doch sooo still ist und man so gar nichts mitbekommt.
