It’s been a busy week in the Iron Kingdoms, with the NOVA Open 2025 now under our belts, new models hitting the 3D subscription, and fresh Khador Old Umbrey lore to sink your fangs into.

NOVA Open was a blast

Last weekend we were at NOVA Open, and it was fantastic catching up with so many of you. From the sound of dice rolling across the halls to brushes busy at the P3 paint tables, it felt like Warmachine was everywhere.

Plenty of games were fought. Many models painted in P3 colours. Some of you may have already obtained our convention-exclusive Bohdan Lesnoi at the event or online during NOVA. If you didn’t get your hands on Bohdan, don’t worry, there will be plenty more chances to get your hands on Khador Old Umbrey’s silver-tongued warlock.

Who makes the militia? — Forces of Old Umbrey

The latest lore release has landed in the Warmachine app: Forces of Old Umbrey. This entry dives into the strange, savage heart of Khador’s borderlands — where the Old Witch of Khador rallies the Umbrean people into a force bound by mysticism, sacrifice, and raw primal power.

Inside, you’ll uncover the stories behind the Umbreans that fight on behalf of Old Umbrey: from liegemen who’ve traded steel and discipline for the Wurm’s ferocity, to witches, druids, and monstrous guardians pulled from legend. It’s a full look at how Old Umbrey fights, who leads it, and what they’re willing to risk to defend their homeland.

Fair warning: the Umbreans aren’t exactly your average neighbours.

Old Umbrey Core Expansion update

Speaking of Old Umbrey. last week’s Old Umbrey Core Expansion release stormed through its first wave. It’s still available right now as made to order, with new orders placed today expected to ship mid-to-late October.

For our UK players who pre-ordered ahead of release, we’d originally shared September 4th as your date. Stock has now reached our UK warehouse, and while it’s taking a few extra days to check in, shipping will begin next week. That means you should start seeing your Core Expansions land around the 10th of September.

Thank you kindly for your patience. We can’t wait for you to get Maksim and his wolfpack to the table. For anyone placing new UK or international orders, the made-to-order timelines apply, so be sure to lock yours in early.
