Star Wars Legion: General Grievous on Wheel Bike
Atomic Mass Games werfen einen genaueren Blick auf die mobilere Version von General Grievous.
Scene to Stats: General Grievous’ TSMEU-6 Wheel Bike
“Army or not, you must realize you are doomed!”
-General Grievous to Obi-Wan Kenobi
General Grievous is no stranger to front-line combat, often seen cutting a direct line through the enemy to attack Jedi leadership and adding another lightsaber to his collection in the process. While terrifying in his own right, the TSMEU-6 Wheel Bike mirrors Grievous’ unconventional nature: a monstrous machine built for destruction. Manufactured by the Z-Gomot Ternbuell Guppat Corporation as a military reconnaissance vehicle, this high-speed mount is capable of handling the most difficult of terrain. Additionally, the TSMEU-6’s thick armor is bolstered by a pair of blaster cannons, perfect for harassing fleeing targets. Rev up that engine as we take a look at General Grievous, Wheel Bike Warlord for Star WarsTM: Legion.
One of the first “Mounted” units for Star Wars: Legion, General Grievous retains his rank as a Commander in the Separatist Alliance armies. A single miniature unit starting at 150 points, this mounted terror will lead the charge for your droid forces on the tabletop. With its rugged construction designed for traversing rough terrain, the TSMEU-6 is a Ground Vehicle highlighted by both the Climbing Vehicle and Mobile keywords. Retractable legs allow this unit to climb like a Trooper unit, while its sleek design ensures the TSMEU-6 easily traverses the battlefield. Additionally, when a unit on a notched base with the Mobile keyword performs a move, it skips step 1 of the notched base movement, rotating the unit leader’s base. Finally, a unit with the Mobile keyword must make a free compulsory action at the start or end of its Perform Action step. Grievous’ targets will have no place to hide!
Designed with durability in mind, the TSMEU-6 has several keywords that help ensure its rider’s protection. The first of these is Armor 1, which will cancel one hit result when defending against attacks. Additionally, a Red Defense die will block any incoming fire while the General’s own Trophy Lightsabers ward off dangerous attacks at close range, granting him Immune: Melee Pierce. A hefty 8 wounds with no break point also ensures Grievous’ safety, with upgrades like Into the Fray providing defensive surge tokens or Prepared Supplies to dodge blaster fire. This extra investment is never unwelcome as Grievous navigates a combat zone.
Not every part of this unit is designed for defense, however, as General Grievous brings his ferocity and martial skill to bear. The twin laser cannons of the TSMEU-6 combined with his Pistol hit with five dice at range 1-2, capable of breaking through tougher targets with a combination of Impact 1 and Pierce 1. But the General has a habit of finishing his quarry face to face, driving his Wheel Bike into the heart of helpless combatants. Overrun 1, Ram 1, and Scatter send bodies flying as the TSMEU-6 delivers General Grievous into the frontline, the chilling crunch of soldiers underfoot as carnage ensues in his wake. With Pierce 1 and Impact 2 also in his melee attack pools, other vehicles will be quickly cut down when he strafes by them.
Finally, as a Commander unit, General Grievous retains his ability to lead Separatist armies in Star Wars: Legion. An Entourage of TSMEU-6 Wheel Bikes always accompanies Grievous, allowing you to take one extra unit when you build an army. This status as a leader is further represented by a new keyword, Command Vehicle 2. An allied unit within 3 of a unit with the Command Vehicle X keyword may treat their courage value as X when checking for panic, meaning that other Droid troopers, or even nimble Geonosians will be well supported by their Commander. General Grievous can also equip a Command upgrade, which allows him to better control his army with options like Improvised Orders or striking an Inspiring Presence on the battlefield.
The TSMEU-6 can be overclocked when its rider needs the extra boost to reach a target. Turbo-Charge is a brand-new Gear upgrade that can only be taken by General Grievous, Wheel Bike Warlord and his fellow TSMEU-6 Wheel Bike riders. This upgrade allows you to expend the card to increase your Speed to 3 during a Move action.
This sweeping move pairs well with the first of General Grievous’ new Command Cards: Full Throttle. When a unit is issued an Order with this card, it gains 1 Dodge token. When an allied Vehicle unit makes a Move, it gains 1 Surge token. Combine these powerful cards and abilities to bring your Wheel Bikes onto a Point of Interest or safely retreat them for another attack run.
Once your Wheel Bikes are ready to pounce, Pincer Attack coordinates your forces against a key objective. This Command Card orders 2 Vehicle Units and removes Cover from a defending unit if it is within range 1 and Line of Sight of 1 or more other Allied Vehicles. Although this type of teamwork is unusual for General Grievous, it should come as no surprise that his final card allows him to deliver the finishing blow from the comfort of his TSMEU-6.
I’ll Do It Myself allows General Grievous to choose an allied Droid Trooper unit within range 1. That unit suffers 1 Wound, and Grievous gains Tactical 1 this Round. Additionally, when he attacks this round, remove all Aim, Dodge, Surge, and Standby tokens from the defending unit. Strike hard and fast with General Grievous and deliver an assured victory for the Separatists in your games of Star Wars: Legion!
