Our first Weekend Teaser for July – A small expansion kit project – The FG1250 (Fahr und Zielgerät FG 1250) was a German active infrared night-vision device mounted on tanks and other armoured vehicles developed in early 1941. It consisted of a specialised mount, an active infrared spotlight and an accompanying image converter. By 1945, the bulky FG1250 active infrared unit was paired with some MG42s on SdKfz 251/1 half-track APCs and MG34s on Panther tanks.
