Pillage: Medieval Loot Preview
Bei einem Spiel mit dem Namen Pillage braucht es auch passendes Loot. Victrix haben auch daran gedacht.
Medieval Loot!
We have been busily researching and working on a whole bunch of valuable and lootable objects for Pillage and other Dark Age and Medieval games. This pack has chests and caskets that may be hiding treasures inside or just a pair of old socks! Crosses, chalices, Bibles, candlesticks and carved panels. The chests are based heavily on finds from Birka, Hedeby, Mastermyr and Oseberg. There is some great rivet detail and hinges on these models. We had to look at what locks looked like during this time period to try and keep things as authentic as possible. The Wood Panel, Elaborate inlaid Bible and one of the caskets were based on some surviving Carolingian examples. One of the crosses is based on a 9th Century Irish Cross. The Irish were renowned for their silver work. One of the small caskets with saints inlaid is based on an Anglo Saxon example. The Goblets are based on 9th to 10th century examples. The only objects we had to take a bit of a liberty with was the candlesticks. There just do not seem to be many European examples from the time period. These ended up being a bit of a mix in design from later Medieval and a bit of Byzantine influence.
We’ve just finished sculpting these so we will likely see them in plastic in a few months time!
