This re-envisioning of our original Mission Pack, Maximum Threat, will include an all new story with new characters and everything you need to craft an engaging campaign as you struggle to gain control of the Loppian system.

The Loppian System: A New Conflict

Welcome to the Loppian System— a once prosperous system which has begun to decline. Yet, the system harbours a dangerous secret in its heart; the Voidsun. A star hidden in plain sight which has served for millennia as a vast repository for the potent psychic energy which permeates the Loppian system. It has long pacified the violent psionic storms of the system, but now some seek to wield this power for themselves.

This self-contained campaign allows players to follow the campaign to control the system over a series of 18 scenarios. Four factions drive the story; the Saurian Starhost, the Jackals, the High Elf Fleets, and Wormhole Daemons of Plague. Each fights to either claim or destroy the power of the mighty Voidsun. The victor will have the power to determine the fate of the worlds lit by the twin Loppian suns, provided that the system itself survives the struggle.

The Loppian System: A Powder Keg Waiting to Explode

When one of the Inner worlds fall to disaster, the Frog-Mages are forced to turn to the cursed world of Tlatec to make up for the shortfall. As tragedies continue to strike those in the sparse outworlds, some begin to doubt the Frog-Mages command over the forces of prophecy and a rebellion breaks out.

A Starhost Gecko Priest becomes determined to take revenge when his mate dies on this cursed world. Learning of the Voidsun’s secret, he ignites a revolt that fuels the flames of conflict across the system in hopes of gaining enough power to overthrow the system’s rulers.

The Frog-Mages are forced to turn to Jackal mercenaries to quell the revolt. Soon, Plague Daemons reveal their presence while High Elves come to the system seeking refuge. All four factions struggle to claim the pieces of the crown, hidden throughout the system; but only one will be able to claim the power to awaken the Voidsun.

Gameplay: Building a Narrative

Threat of the Voidsun takes the Scenario from a previous Mission Pack and builds out their story. No longer individual stand alone scenarios, threat of the Voidsun gives a rough chronology and story to events, as well as beautiful new artwork to ground these missions in the Sirius Sector. Of course, these missions can also be played in any order or serve as inspiration and a jumping off point for your own original campaign campaign.

Tied into the release of the narrative campaign are also four new heroes, each with their own rules and models. These new rules will allow players to make use of these new commanders alongside their forces, either adopting their rules to lend their factions unique new options for their heroes or deploying their models at the forefront of their armies to lend a unique flair.
