This month, our historical line brings you to the heart of 7th-century England. In a world of oaths, halls, and spear walls, these miniatures recreate the people and power behind the earliest fortified communities: the Scild-Burh.

Odda on Horse, mounted ealdorman, noble and seasoned, commanding respect and loyalty from atop his steed.

Anglo-Saxon Ealdorman Cuthbert, battle-hardened leader on foot, who rallies warriors through word and iron.

Anglo-Saxon Gesiths in Combat, professional warriors, trained and loyal, forming the backbone of any early English force.

Anglo-Saxon Gesiths in Shieldwall, disciplined troops whose close ranks of interlocked shields define survival and victory.

Anglo-Saxon Great Hall, political and ceremonial heart of every settlement—perfect for hosting skirmishes, diplomacy, or feasts before battle.
