Epic Encounters: Up Close and Personal with the Steelborn

Have you met your match in Epic Encounters: Sanctuary of the Steelborn? This mysterious army roams the landscape in an intimidating rolling fortress, surrounded by chilling rumours of violence and destruction. Now it’s up to your brave band of adventurers to uncover their secrets.

For the first time anywhere, we’re taking a closer look at these enigmatic enemies, and getting you the inside info on what you’ll be up against. You won’t want to miss it!

Blaster

These armoured constructs are equipped with ranged, arcane capabilities. Often seen atop the huge rolling carriage, surveilling the surrounding landscape. The Blasters are perfectly positioned to rain fire down on their enemies.

Lightblade

Protecting the Steelborn sanctum from ground level are the Lightblades — melee weapon fighters armed with sword and shield, ready to repel any would-be intruders.

Predator

Alongside the Lightblades are the Predators — ferocious and lethally fast mechanical wolves. Don’t let their familiar shape fool you. These are no house pets!

Guardian

One of two tank variations in the Steelborn ranks. These shield-bearing Steelborn present a wall of metal to the few who would bring weapons to bare.

Blitzer

These are the most thuggishly dangerous of the steelborn, capable of driving a fist through an adventurer’s chest, bone and all! Best avoided where possible.

Assassin

The Cogseer’s personal guard, they’ll keep close at all times, bound to protect them at any costs. Watch out for that double sabre, it’s double the trouble!

Cogseer

Leader of the pack, the Cogseer is a fusing of arcane and metal, and the keeper of the Steelborn’s secrets. Capable of wreaking terrible devastation and flanked by its guards — strap in for a cinematic battle to remember!

The Steelborn fight in silence, focused and determined on their role, each assisting the other without the need for communication. This makes them deeply unnerving to fight. An emotionless army that cannot be reasoned or bargained with. Are you up to the challenge?
