Dropzone Commander: 3.0 Infanterie Preview

TTCombat: Advent Calendar Day 20, Dropzone Commander 3.0 Infantry

Hey Commanders, to help get you even more excited for Dropzone Commander 3.0, we thought now would be a good time to look at some updated Infantry sculpts for several factions. Being a huge part of any army, frontline Infantry play a pivotal role in your battles, whether they are occupying buildings, engaging enemy forces or achieving key mission objectives. Let’s take a look at just some of the updated units.

Praetorian Special Operations

The go-to unit for versatility, close-quarter combat and room-clearance, Praetorian Spec-Ops are elite UCM warriors and arguably mankind’s most elite infantry. Not only are they tough but also well-equipped with SMGs or Assault Grenades. Beyond the revised pose, UCM Commanders will note the proportions for the Praetorians have been enlarged to a more heroic scale with larger weapons and armour plates, making the miniatures easier to paint. The UM-3 SMG Special is considerably larger than the previous version, so we look forward to seeing some unique weapon decals.

Scourge Warrior

Warriors are the frontline foot soldiers of the Scourge – unfortunate puppets who must endure a lifetime of neuro-suppression and vice-like control as a Scourge host. These warriors physically age much slower than a standard human, their lives unnaturally prolonged by the parasitic host. For Dropzone 3.0 our team has enlarged the Scourge Plasma Rifle, Helmets and trench coat whilst we’ll also be keeping the iconic pose used for the Scourge Warrior 32mm exclusive miniature.

Bioficer Drone

Disgusting, cheap and unholy, a Bioficer Drone will be a common sight in Dropzone 3.0 and will be a plague upon humanity’s forces. These flesh-crafted creatures are equipped with a formidable Decon rifle capable of disintegrating human mass into a fleshy mound of materials ready to be absorbed and repurposed. As Dropzone 3.0 will be the first appearance of the Bioficers at 10 mm scale, we are really looking forward to seeing how you all intend to paint up these little horrors.
