How They Play
Relentless and heavily armored, the Gemred Knights tear through enemy formations with sheer force and brutal determination. But once winter sets in, truly nothing stands in their way.

Among the myriad forms of war and violence that can be found within the Court of Summer, Scaile Dancers stand out as the most beautiful… and deadly. Their iridescent wings, compound eyes, preternatural reflexes and whip-like swords meld into a deadly display of acrobatic prowess, making it look like they dance among their foes, rather than fight. The trail of red ruin they leave in their wake belies this illusion.
How They Play
Agile, beautiful, and deadly, the Scaile Dancers cut through swathes of enemy light infantry, wreaking havoc in their wake. Beware the enemy’s counterattack, however – hey can be fragile. Unless it’s Summer – then it’s best to run.

Years have passed since the fabled Battle of Nepenthe in Riismark, when humanity and the Spires waged open war for the first time in centuries. Fredrik, King of Brandengrad and de facto ruler of the whole of Riismark, found himself abandoned by the rest of his peers in the Conclave and his lands besieged on all fronts. To secure one front at least, he acknowledged and honored his family’s debt to his enemy: the Alchemist of the Nepenthe Spire. But after pushing back the Nords with the help of the Orders, the Order of the Sword refused to surrender control of the reclaimed lands. Abandoned by the Heartlands, he knows that honoring his dept to the Alchemist for another year would cripple his nation, struggling for resources as they are. So now Fredrik prepares for the Alchemist to claim his payment once more. For he knows well:
Nepenthe remembers—until forever.
How They Play
This set will come with a uniquely designed campaign book to encourage new and interesting narrative play for these armies. The boxed set will include the Command Cards for these miniatures, bases and stands, and the Campaign book.

Hab ich schonmal erwähnt, dass Para Bellum dringend in einen neuen Maler investieren müssen? Die Reiter…Man erkennt da echt wenig. Gerade bei den werden Designs ist das ne üble Kombination
Die PB Studiobemalung wird ja öfter mal bemängelt, und auch ich bin in der Vergangenheit diesbezüglich gerne mal kritisch gewesen.
Mittlerweile finde ich so optisch meistens ganz ansprechend, aber trotzdem kann man die Details oft nicht gut ausmachen. Da wäre ein klassischer ‚Eavy Metal Paint Job besser, das stimmt.
Die schlechte Lesbarkeit der Formen ist offensichtlich. Die Bemaltung bedingt das grundsätzlich, klar. Allerdings tragen auch die Fotos selbst stark dazu bei:
Die Ausleuchtung scheint unvorteilhaft, sodass Teile in starken Schatten verschwinden, und der unruhige ähnlich farbige Hintergrund durch die anderen Figuren hilft gar nicht im Sinne bequemer Erkennbarkeit. Ist eigentlich das kleine 1×1…
Der Versuch frischen Wind in die Visualität von Produktbildern zu bringen, ist löblich, doch die grundlegende Funktion der Sache muss einfach erfüllt werden.
PS: Mich schrecken an den Modellen v.a. die teilweise arg dünnen Beine der Reittiere.
Ziemlich coole Neuerscheinungen, dass muss man schon sagen.
Die Hirschreiterei ist richtig gut geworden – gleiches gilt für die Insekten-Elf-Hybrid-Ladies.
Die Kritik an der Bemalung teile ich aber. Ich habe schon so toll bemalte Conquest Minis gesehen, die mit dem Studio-Paintjob den Boden aufgewischt haben. Gerade bei den Hirschen ist das wieder so ein wilder Farbmix – das geht definitiv besser.
So bemalen wie der Hausmaler kann ich persönlich nicht. Darum geht’s nicht. Aber der Stil ist absolut nicht Verkaufsförderung. Nach den Bildern werde ich im die nen Bogen um die Dinger machen. Die Insektenviecher hingegen sind da viel besser lesbarer und reizen mich mehr

Die Insekten sind sehr cool, aber bei den Elchen warte ich erstmal auf unbemalte Bilder.
