Cobramode Miniatures: Juli Patreon
Im Juli haben Cobramode Miniatures wieder ein STL-Paket für Patreons zusammengestellt.
Here’s the lore for this month:
The Verdant Dirge
The Verdant Dirge, the song of changes, was created by the God of Changes to balance the seasons; Summer unchecked wouldn’t let anything die, and Winter unbound wouldn’t let anything live. The Dirge is a song of life and death, or cycles and changes. Unfortunately the song has gained a life of its own and is no longer under the control of Verelaith. However, it still serves the purpose of thinning the ranks of Summer and Winter forces, so Verelaith has not bothered to contain it.
Toracháin – Transformed Pawn
Ciorcal druids who worship Verelaith, the God of Changes, dream the flower dream and begin their transformation when the time is right. It is an incredible honor to become an agent of Verelaith’s will, but not all are prepared for the day they will be chosen. The seed of change is planted in one’s mind by the Verdant Dirge, the song of change signaling the blessing of their god. Slowly the flowers begin to bud, taking over their bodies until they are fully subsumed by Verelaith’s will. After their purpose has been served, the blossoms and their host will wilt and die, going back to the earth as is fit, and sometimes leaving an echo of the song in their final resting place.
Uaindel – Transformed Knight
Among the Ciorcal druids it is uncommon to take up martial pursuits, as most prefer the use of the wild magic stemming from the Grimnismal. The Uaindel, knights of the flowers, are an archetypal form taken by some of those who have heard the Song. These heavy warriors have incredible reach with their biological two-handed swords, and are faster than you might think despite the lack of legs. The root system that they travel on can propel them quite quickly, though only in areas where it has already established itself. A new, solitary knight needs some time to establish a root system before it can move very far, while several knights are able to protect a significant area. The effect of their movement is eerie, the roots churning in and out of the ground and tearing up the soil behind them as they mindlessly pursue their foes.
Blathrion – Transformed Mage
Known as the Thorny Mages, the Blathrion are casters that manipulate plants, a frightening prospect in the dense growth of the Sylvan Forest. What they can accomplish with their magic depends largely on the surrounding verdure; some plants can release paralysing toxins, some can twine, trap, or crush prey, while others might stab or cut one to shreds with their sharp foliage. The Ciorcal believe that Blathrion magic frees plants to follow their own whims; the vines choose to crush, the flowers decide to kill. The mages themselves are also equipped with thorny appendages, and beguiling scents and pollens released from the remnants of their heads, making them dangerous whether near or far.
Lugrain – Transformed Brute
The heavy forces of transformed, the Brutes are slow but inexorable, hunting down their prey over days, weeks or months. Seemingly less intelligent than the other transformed, they are nonetheless frightening for their relentless desire to hunt and pursue; once one has been recognized by a Lugrain, they must either kill or be killed. Their large, weighty claws are used to stab and bludgeon their opponents, lacking the finesse of the Knights or the wiliness of the Mages. Their name, roughly meaning “bright mane”, comes from the appearance of their heads, which resembles the flower of the same name. There is a superstition that fields of bright mane flowers attract or breed the Lugrain, though none dare to test this theory themselves.
