Top Quality 28mm Pewter Miniatures for WW2 Historical & Pulp Gaming & Painting
During WW2, many countries had both organised, and not-so-organised resistance to the fascist threat. There are many, many miniatures of the fascists, but fewer of those who fought them, so let’s rebalance that. Something that unites us all, no matter where we are from in the world, is that there are plenty of folk fighting to make the world a better place.
These miniatures will make excellent dioramas and painting projects as well as gaming pieces that you can use in a variety of rules sets such as Chain of Command, Iron Cross, Packing Heat, Bolt Action and more.
As well as representing specific people, you can of course use these figures as agents, civilians and more in whatever era or genre you like.
Accompanying them we have a brand new book from Jon Hodgson Backdrops called „World War Ruins“ and brand new WW2 Tank Trax from Rolltex.
The Minis
You can pledge for any combination of these packs or heck it – the whole lot.
All single piece cast pewter unless stated, specific details on each image.
Why are they green? It’s because that is the sculpt – made in a mixture of „greenstuff“ and Milliput. More test casts and painted minis will be shown as we progress. See lower down the page for more technical details. Made for 28mm scale gaming, some are smaller if they’re younger, such as Iro.

We’ve collaborated with Handiwork Games and Rolltex Texture Rollers to bring you more wonderful works. These products are BRAND NEW to this Kickstarter and work perfectly with our minis.
WORLD WAR RUINS BACKDROP BOOK
We’re delighted to work again with Handiwork Games on producing these incredible backdrop books – you simply pop them behind your miniature and take a photograph and wahey – they look excellent! You can have a look here at the existing range of backdrop books (which you can add to your pledge) and keep an eye on our social media for MANY examples of them in use.
They are available in A4 (210 mm x 297 mm) and A3 (297 mm x 420 mm).
TRAX TANK TEXTURE ROLLERS
Manufactured exclusively for us by Rolltex. The first two of the „Trax“ fit a 28mm scale Panzer and Sherman. They scale excellently with popular tank manufacturers‘ treads.
The handle and rollers are entirely compatible with the existing range of texture rollers by Rolltex. They are cast in hard wearing resin.
Roll these over your putty on either individual bases or larger dioramas to add more realism and grit.
The Rewards
The reward levels are very straightforward. You could pledge for „All the Minis“ to get… all the minis. And „Everything“ to get.. everything!
Any unlocked extras through the campaign are NOT automatically added to any pledge levels unless stated.
All pledge levels allow you to increase your pledge to include add-ons.
For example, if you want All the Minis, plus another Pearl Witherington – pledge at that level (£65), and increase the total by £5, to make £70.
You can increase your pledge amount at any time with the „Manage my Pledge“ option, which will appear in the same place. Keep a note so you don’t forget, and we will ask for the relevant information in the pledge manager after the campaign.
Remember that shipping will be taken AFTER the KS.
Add-ons
We have such an extensive range of other minis these ladies could be working with or against, and a whole heap of scenics they can be doing it on. We’ve put a few below to inspire, but you may add anything from our catalogue afterwards in the pledge manager.
To add an „add-on“, simply increase the total of your pledge amount to reflect this, make a note somewhere, and after the campaign, we send out a „pledge manager“ where you let us know what you want.
- The miniatures are 28mm scale and cast in extremely high-quality white metal. Everything is a single piece. They come without bases supplied, though you can add these in the pledge manager for a low price.
- Sophie and Hans Scholl mini is one piece cast resin and counted as two minis for the total count.
- They are supplied unpainted – so you can either paint them yourself or bring out the detail with an ink wash. Everything is sculpted by hand.
- They fit nicely with 28mm scale miniatures from other ranges.
Shipping
As a business with a successful web shop, we ship a large number of packages every day worldwide. You can rest assured that we are more than familiar with safe packaging, customs, and methods.
The shipping is going to be taken AFTER the Kickstarter, so it is not included in your pledge – please don’t add it to your total. It’s going to be worked out via weight through the Bad Squiddo Games web store.
Upgraded shipping options are also available at extra cost, such as Tracked and Signed, DPD, UPS, and UK Special Delivery. You will be able to choose these in the pledge manager. We subsidise these costs a bit to make them more attractive to you!

ESTIMATES
Estimated shipping costs to different world zones will appear here shortly – if it’s minis or rollers it will be very low, backdrop books (especially A3) can increase them. Apologies for not having a specific price at launch, the world caught fire at exactly the same time.
UK: £4-£6!
NOTE ON TARIFFS
We’ll be complying with the new tariffs to the USA which we are currently working out, and will have a solid answer/number by the end of the campaign. At the moment it looks like pledges to USA will have 10% of the total cost added, but we MAY be able to subsidise this a bit. Please keep tuned.
We’re also working on a more friendly EU solution for some duties pre-paid options.
If the campaign is successful, your card will be charged afterwards, and then we will update you with a link to the Pledge Manager. This will be through the Bad Squiddo Games website and will be easy to use. This is where you give us your shipping details, pay for shipping, let us know what extra packs you may have added to your pledge and add anything else you may have forgotten. You may add other items from the rest of the website too! The precise information will be in the updates, but if you’ve backed any of our previous Kickstarters – it’s our usual set-up!
