Artisan Guild: Villagers & Townsfolk Vol. 1

Artisan Guild präsentieren ihr Januar 2026 Patreon Set: Villagers & Townsfolk Vol. 1!

January 2026 Trailer – Villagers & Townsfolk Vol. 1

Hello folks!
I sincerely hope you are spending some wonderful days with your loved ones.
It is finally that moment of the month, and I invite you to turn on the audio and press play on the beautiful trailer that Ani has been putting together during the latest days.

You have asked for this set for months,… actually for years. And finally, a few weeks ago, I felt ready to create this set that you have been requesting for a very long time.

Before going any further, please watch the video, because everything below will be full of spoilers 🙂

.

.

.

Modular Unit
I would be lying if I said this set was easy to sculpt.
Being used to creating units and heroes, I realized from day one that I would not have a single armor or uniform to rely on for most of the set, nor a basic body type that I could easily adapt and reuse. I opted to create as many outfit I could do for commoners and peasants to have a large variety on this modular unit,

I decided to move slightly away from the classic “heroic” style for the faces, allowing myself to sculpt more caricatured and expressive features, and I am truly happy with the result.
Some villagers may miss a teeth, but it was worth it 😉

At first I had no idea what to do for the infamous “Kit II”, but at a certain point it became clear that a townfolk militia was the best possible choice. Pitchforks and buckets filled with water or vegetables for Kit I, torches, swords, and halberds for Kit II, with leather caps and iron helmets. Adventurers might think twice before robbing these villagers 😉

Extra Modular Unit
To add as much variety as possible to the townfolk villagers, I decided to use the extra unit slot, normally reserved for cavalry or alternative versions of the modular unit, to create townfolk women.

They are modular just like the Peasants, and come with a wide selection of tools, food, everyday items, weapons, and even children to hold in their arms. I honestly cannot wait to see what you will create using this modular system.

The Blacksmith
The blacksmith is undoubtedly one of the most important figures in any proper medieval village, especially for adventurers, mercenaries, and warriors. To me, a village without a blacksmith is a bit like a house without a kitchen, and with Torben I can truly say I had a lot of fun.
I am extremely curious to see what you will turn him into, and how you will paint him.

The Quartermaster
Essential for any kind of adventure, this quartermaster and merchant was the character that gave me the most trouble, to the point that I almost decided to sculpt something completely different several times while working on him. In the end, once his face was finished, I was one hundred percent convinced. Ulric was exactly how I had imagined him. I hope you will enjoy him, especially the contrast between his different surfaces, from tunic to decorations and furs.

The Dancer
Since one of the modular women is perfect as a tavern keeper, cleaning a mug with a cloth, for the pinup I decided to sculpt a dancer who works at the village tavern. Beautiful, graceful, and sinuous, with a drapery that alone took me an entire day to sculpt 😉

Epic Boss
Every Artisan Guild set comes with an epic boss, and if it is not a heroic or royal mount for one of the heroes, then it is usually a towering monstrosity or a giant Avatar of a diety. This month, however, I wanted to create something unique and at the same time something many of you have asked for.

For me, this is a gentle giant, one who might have an agreement with the townfolk. That is why I sculpted him as a kind of hill shepherd, holding a little sheep in his arm. For those of you who are DM, the storytelling is yours. I will leave it to you to decide whether he is a shepherd, a sheep thief, or a smiling and dangerous giant raider.

I would like to end this post by thanking you sincerely for your support, and by wishing you all the very best for these holiday days.

A big hug,
Andrea
