July 2025 Trailer – The Infernal Legion
Hello friends!
The moment has finally arrived! You are invited to watch the trailer above – make sure to turn the audio on!
This has been… a hell of a month. Having the chance to explore the realm of Inferno, I’ve been able to portray characters who have been mentioned in the Lore of Mundus since the very beginning, such as Draiken Zestirot, one of the lords of Inferno.
The backbone of the infernal legions are the Basarakh, also known as the Infernal Ravagers. This time, I wanted to sculpt some very powerful demons that embody raw strength and fury. Which color scheme do you like the most?
About the cavalry, I had a clear image in my mind of what I wanted to make. Some infernal beasts like Rourazaak (an epic boss sculpted years ago for the first Demon set) are suited to be used as mounts by the Infernal Ravagers. These are called Belzatu in the infernal tongue.
With Asmodeus, I loved every moment, from the early sketch on a restaurant placemat to the final sculpting hour. Do you like his magnificent presence? This Daemon Lord, or Devil as he likes to refer to himself, towers above the Infernal Ravagers. His brother Moloch was no less fun to sculpt; I really like his massive presence!
I have to admit that it was intimidating to design and sculpt the protagonist of the set: Draiken Zestirot is like an ancient god of chaos in our universe, one of the most important figures in our lore. I had a glimpse of his presence in my mind; I had to sketch his first lines with my eyes closed to try to catch that idea. Our hands are often guided by designs we see online, but this time I wanted to make something unique and follow exactly the image I had in my mind. The process of sculpting him was like re-inventing one brush stroke after the other, and honestly, I really love how he turned out. He’s just like that cosmic world-eater I had in my imagination!
I really hope you’ll enjoy this collection. I’m really curious to see what color scheme you’ll use for these devils! Thank you so much for reading until here, and thank you for your support.
Cheers!
Andrea
