December 2025 Trailer – Solarmane Rakshakin
Hello everyone!
Make sure to turn on the audio and click play on the video above.
It is time to return to Tarak, the island east of Denmora, home of the Elephorim and of a mysterious leonin people, the Solarmane Rakshakin. It has been many years since I last worked on feline characters, and they are incredibly useful in many settings and games. Plus, my son absolutely loves playing feline races in every game he touches, from Khajiiti to many others.
Separated during the Era of Cosmo, when most of the children of Raksha betrayed the Lords and allowed themselves to be lured by demonic forces, the Solarmane Rakshakin instead reinforced their sense of justice and their faith in Ghaomir, Lord of Light and Justice, and in Sol, his chosen Herald, father of the Malak.
A Solarmane Rakshakin, confronted with a Rakshakin Headhunter (set n°18)
In short, this set portrays powerful and courageous leonine beings, ideal as RPG heroes, fearsome enemies or guardians in your campaigns, or as a fully customizable faction for wargames and skirmish battles.
The Sculpts
Inhabitants of the southern regions of Tarak, where savannas, jungles and endless beaches stretch beneath a blinding sun, the Solarmane wear light tribal equipment of leather and metal, favoring melee weapons such as cestuses and axes, while also making use of spears and bows, especially when riding the ground sphinxes known as the Shesep Ankh, living relics of the First Era.This month I knew from the start that the first heroine had to be a true champion of the light, perfect to use as a paladin, cleric or templar.
Among all the dynamic characters I usually sculpt, I wanted her to stand as a pillar of justice, which is why I chose a stable and noble pose for this leonine warrior. One of the models I loved creating the most is a tribal hero of this faction, Sol Rak.
His ritual armor is an artifact from the First Era that grants total immunity to magic and spells, making him perfect for cutting down hordes of demons.
Can you guess what inspired this sculpt? I think I played a little too much Tekken 3. 😉The Epic Boss of the month, a gigantic alabaster sphinx on a ten centimeter base, this time winged and with humanoid features, embodies both elegance and the power of a long lost age.
This oracle and guardian beast of the Solarmane Rakshakin was perfect for a pinup variant as well, and as you can see in the image, a version without the chest plate is included.
After all, what would a millennia old sphinx need armor for?For that reason, after such an multipurpose Epic Boss, I thought it would be perfect to add an extra charismatic Rakshakin.
I like to think that he is the real pinup of the set: Rathuur, the pit fighter with the radiant smile.Spend one round in the arena in a leonine wrestling match with him and your back pain will disappear forever.
I know many expect a fully undressed pinup, but just like I did for Janessa from the Temple of Zephyra or the beautiful dwarf Skald from the Dwarven Mountaineers set, for certain designs removing all clothing would ruin the entire composition, so I chose to adorn him with a light tunic that still shows his powerful body. Finally, the Guardian Lion Statues are perfect for decorating your dioramas or battlefield setups set in deserts or jungles, guarding forgotten temples and ancient ruins.
I hope you enjoy this set as much as I enjoyed sculpting it.
