Brodie Trencher Gunners – Male (2 miniatures) – £10.00

Quite possibly, most insane Lee-Enfield conversion there was; the Howell Automatic Rifle. An offset gas piston operated the bolt with a curved cam after each shot before a spring forced the bolt closed again. An extended 20-round magazine made better use of the increased rate of fire.

Because of the danger to the user, a hand guard and pistol grip were attached to the stock, and a large protruding tab stopped the user from putting their face in harms way. This may be the most „steampunk“ weapon, that was seriously designed for actual service. Ultimately it was rejected by the army, but we couldn’t help but create a version for our weird-world-war Brodie soldiers!
